Okay seems like everyone is under the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing lol yes I use non wipe top coat😂 I’m simply sharing that chrome can I expectedly give issues and lots of ppl don’t talk about it! It sticks to everything lmao this is the way I found that worked for ME 🥰
Chrome is honestly sooo finicky, but I’ve noticed that when I wipe the nail off with alcohol before I go in with the nail art for the chrome, it helps a bit with the chrome sticking where it’s not suppose to!💕 also, some chromes will give different effects depending on the amount of cure time you let the polish or top coat you want it to stick too so maybe playing around with that will help! The sweet spot for me is about 2/3 of cute time for the mirror effect. Hope this helps💕
Thanks! it seems everyone in the comments already knows what to do so I wasn’t sure this video was gonna help anyone 😂 but I’ve just seen so many ppl struggle and ask others for help and nobody ever responds to them 😭
yessss nobody ever shows how to get the excess off! i do my own nails and be going in with a small brush and acetone but baby i tried your way and it works
Hi boo thank you for the tips I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while! I was struggling with chrome so much. Recently, I saw a demo by a nail tech in my area who puts MATTE TOP COAT to start with (so drawing isn’t on the bare acrylic) so it’s smooth yet dry and chrome won’t stick to it hope it helps you too :)
Glad it helped! I’ve tried it that way but I hate how matte feels so I just decide to buff extra and then draw when it comes to chrome 😂 the matte does work tho haha
I think I like buff and draw for chrome bc it’s less steps and the more layers of polish the more you have to shape lol but thank you! Also I hate matte and the feeling of it 😭 but i will be using it as a backup method Lmaoo
I’m not sure if you do this or already know this as I’m only a little bit into the video lol I always use a no wipe top cot for chrome. That’s what gives it the mirror effect that it’s suppose to have. Again I apologise if I’m jumping the gun lol xx
Have you tried applying matte top coat to still be able to clean the French up with alcohol then using the chrome? After applying the gel top coat? Idk how it will work or if it will stick to the matte but it’s worth a try if you don’t like cleaning the nails without a top coat on 🤷🏾♀️
Yeah many ppl commented they lol I just prefer buffing and drawing I’ve done it a few times and it provides a quicker and fool proof result haha and you can still clean w acetone once you buff enough to provide a smoother surface
You have to use a no stick top coat for chrome I believe, everything I’ve seen people just brush the extra off after cure. So you’d start like this…buffing the nail well making sure that there is no lines are whatever in the nails then get rid of dust. Then you use no wipe top coat then chrome after cure. To seal you use the no wipe top coat again to seal before bumping the nail because this crap will have bumps and imperfections if you do bump the nails without sealing. These nails ended up beautiful! I’m so sorry that you went thru all the trouble shooting during a client appt. 😮😢ugh how terrible. But you pulled it off! 🤩🤩 I could listen to you talk all day lol Really enjoyed watching! Till the next one much 💙💙!
Yes I use only non wipe lmao and I don’t mind the trouble shooting bc that’s how I learn since I don’t go out of my way to practice and I still finish in time usually lol but yes if you bump the chrome before it’s top coated that’s a whole other nightmare lol
@@Nailsbyprettyface for sure right? Lol I don’t like nightmares of any kind….I always hate asking questions of someone that really does nails and most likely knows 5 times more about nail things than I do. 🥸😝🫣
I just hate the feeling of it lol but now I just buff really well but funny thing is chrome is like out of style now 😂 so not too long after this video I haven’t done chrome since 😂😂

If you use 91% alcohol the excess chrome will wipe off 💜

Aww thank you! Lol I learn by doing and just trying so I try to use that to show examples for some stuff that others might struggle w too 🥰😍

Lol yeeesss we need more chrome videos…. Try using matte top coat in replace of the shiny b/c the chrome won’t stick to matte

Nails are super cute. I just can’t figure out when doing 3D chrome art, it won’t wipe off the areas i don’t want it to stick to
I’m not sure if you do this or already know this as I’m only a little bit into the video lol

And for chrome a silicone tool is best or even better than that your finger. Cause the natural heat from the finger gets is so smooth. xx
Yes I do use no wipe lol
I’ve tried a my fingers and i didn’t care for it bc it just got everywhere haha
@@Nailsbyprettyface yeah I’ve gotta admit it is annoying the stuff gets everywhere 😂

Also using a no wipe top coat for a mirror effect if you don’t want the grainy look
It is a non wile lol that’s all I use 😂

I like to use matte top coat. So much easier lol
I just hate the feeling of it lol but now I just buff really well but funny thing is chrome is like out of style now 😂 so not too long after this video I haven’t done chrome since 😂😂
Thank you
Ofc!!
I've seen using matte top coat as the base then chrome it's less clean up
Yes a few ppl commented to this as well! Thank you lol
Hi Peaches
Hey!
Have you ever used chrome polish?
I have a silver that gives similar effect but I don’t like how it is when you try and clean it up it with acetone lol it messes up the silver kinda
You shoulda wipe the top coat with alcohol before adding the French and chrome love
It’s a non wipe and I w tried wiping it before the chrome and does nth lol but obviously everyone know how to do this lol ig it’s just me haha
