This is what the hobby is all about. Just having a blast and pushing the limits.
Came for the bush flying, stayed for the anxiety pep talk. Thanks dad!
Great video. The ultimate "Take it camping airplane". I chuckled as you said it is not a bush plane as you are flying it in and through bushes.
Jon this is one of my favorite sport planes. The simplicity is the key. Nothing is easier to hover catch...love it! Great fun vid.
It's nearly indestructible (under reasonable expectations) and flies so damned good. It's hard to argue with.
Yippee!!!!! Tree Trimmer and Leaf Blower all in one. I LOVE this plane, And I REALLY Love the way you showed it off... HUGE Thumbs Up.... old_coastie
ok, the TT tire mod was simple, but brilliant. I had a spare pair and they popped right on. 😎 Keep it up. E-flight (and other) planes are good, but all these mods you suggest make them so much better. Thanks.
Thanks for all the reviews and flying tips. I'm just getting into the hobby, iI have a Aeroscout and a D-18 1.1m . Watching your channel will help me pick out my next plane. Good job!
I've set mine up for FPV moved all the electronic components to the top of the stick with the camera hanging beneath On A head tracking gimbal Then replaced the tires With the X. flight tasman tires So far it's been the most fun FPV I've set up so far.
Great video Jon. The way I justify buying any RC Airplane is to see if I can get ONE flight for every DOLLAR spent. I think i could easily get at least 400 flights on this airframe over the period if a few years. For entertainment prices, Really good Bang For the Buck in my mind. Compared that to what you'll spend on Dinner and a movie for two. Which will only give you a few hours of entertainment value. I got over 350 flights on the ERATIX, before I hit a light pole. So it was money well spent. Don't own this one yet, but most likely down the line.
Great video totally agree this plane is awesome.
This plane has been on my short list for a while.
Definitely get one, it's awesome!
That's alot of fun! I have a old Timber that's kinda like that.
All that crashing looks like how I fly all my planes. I wish I could order CA by the 55 gallon drum. I might need to get me one of these
I love this plane and I have a lot. I agree, swap esc and battery pack locations. It’s super easy and with the pack at the CG location you can run any size pack you want and it won’t get nose heavy. I run 3s 2200 packs for 15 min flights and it’ll still slow way down with a little AOA. It’s great for FPV too, just strap your gear to the front wing mount and let er rip. I haven’t tried flaperons yet. But 200 bucks? I don’t think that’s a high price at all for this much enjoyment. If you want it cheaper sell the gyro receiver and put a regular receiver on it. I left the gyro on cus I like flying it in crazy wind and it helps with that.
I really want to get one of these!
Awesome stuff Jon, your flying is a blast to watch man 👊 :)
Looks like a lot of fun. Will consider it for sure.
Awesome stuff guys looks a great plane ❤❤❤i love flying close proximity it really brings ya skills up ❤❤❤
Awesome ugly plane 😅 loved it !!!! Nice skills bro 🫡🫶🏻
Thanks!
This really looks fun if you like ugly baby's and mother nature's obstacle course😂😂😂😂 great video Jon.
That's one trick stick.
Cheers
Fun smashing around plane🎉🎉🎉 R/C helicopters gave me anxiety! foamies are great to fly
I slammed mine into the ground hard enough to bend the aluminum stick . The only other damage was a broken propeller I was pretty sure I destroyed the motor but it was just fine not a scratch on anything else
yep did the same thing, flying again..
I still have mine brand new in the box will get it ready to go sometime before the summer? Once I get to maiden my 3 newer 3d foam planes Jon👍👍😎😎👍👍
I had a major failure out of the box with mine. The white plastic piece, which holds the tail aluminum body rod to the front, broke twice on me. I fixed it by inserting a carvon fiber square rod and re drilling the holes for the bolts to go through.
I had that same issue but the new version of that piece is much stronger. I believe the two issues HH has fixes for are the gear and that piece. The new one is black so if that joiner is black it’s much stronger than the original white piece but I had the same failure after 1 flight until I replaced that part with the new one.
@BullFrog96 good to know! Mine was the white plastic piece. Glad to see they fixed it
We are still waiting for the Funcub vid😂
If it's anything like this one, it'll barely appeal to the channel's audience. Good thing we do what we think is fun rather than chasing algorithm performance!
@@TwoBrosRC Bush plane(ish) videos rock! 👊
"skill issue" story of my life
😭
Hey Jon ! Wondering what motor you use for your freewing f-15 !
That's a weird question to ask in a video about the Slow Ultra Stick, decidedly not a jet. We flew ours on the stock motor.
@@TwoBrosRC lol i know i just figured new vid means a quicker response rather than commenting on a old vid, idk how that works sorry lol
Did you change the wheels only or the entire landing gear?
Just the wheels.
@@TwoBrosRC tks!!
Watched it at 2x so im the first to finish
So, you replaced the landing gear or they now come with better gear? Or did u just mean the Timber wheels?
The gear struts are much stronger now, and we're using Timber wheels to make it flyable in less forgiving areas.
What is your setting for flaperons?
25% and 50%
Looks like Purposeful crashing to me
Not really, but OK.
First
🥇
It’s a good price. Awesome plane. Get a few sets of landing gear and a few propellers to keep with you and you can beat it up all day. If you don’t wanna beat it up, learn to properly flare your landing and fly off a smooth runway without 6”+ tall grass and you won’t need any spare parts.
And I’m not even a horizon fanboy. Screw those guys, I boycotted them for years due to horrible quality control and customer service. But finally I succumbed because they own pretty much all brands in the hobby now, so boycotting them now pretty much means no hobby. I decided not to deprive myself of fun toys any more when nobody else was joining me in the boycott so it wasn’t even helping anything.
