I fell in love with Stephanie and her fabric at the Huston International Quilt show! Such an exciting, inspiring and encouraging Quilter and an excellent designer! Appreciate this interview💕🧵
Thank you Karen for introducing us to the delightful & interesting Stephanie. Love, love, love her desaturated colour palette & quilt designs . Just when you think that there's nothing left to invent a new & talented creator comes along ! Btw, I live in France & it's true that designer fabric is very expensive (compared to the US & even the UK) mainly because of import duties. Merci beaucoup again for your work. 🥰
I love her pallette behind her. I am usually not drawn to pinks, purples etc because like you said Karen, too many bubblegum, barbie type pinks. These look vibrant but muted. Cannot wait to go on a hunt for her fabrics. She is fun, I wish her luck, I will be a new follower. Thanks Karen for bringing her on.
You have to know I’m going to source out her patterns, especially the Wander Blooms the design and colours are fabulous. Thanks Karen to introducing us to all these wonderful designers. 👍❤️🙂
Wonderful interview Ladies! I first saw Stephanie on Misty's tutorial with her first fabric Wondering. It was also a great tutorial/interview. I have a Wondering layer cake, fabric for binding, and the pattern waiting for me to dig in and make it. 🙂🙃🙂
I'm not a pink person, but how delicious are those colors. I quickly went over to instagram and tagged as many quiltshops as I could think of to see if one of them carries her line. Love Love Love
I’ve always wondered what Latino designers were available. Thank you for including her in your channel. She and you are both amazing. I will look for the fabric and patterns. ❤
When I experience this situation, I check my cutting with the pattern and test my quarter inch stitching. A great tip is to use fabric you have on hand, such as scraps and make a “Sample block” first to test my accuracy. Hope this helps💕🧵
Like everyone here, I love fabric, but I question sometimes why there have to be quite so many new collections every year. Every designer making two or three collections year equals billions of bolts of fabric. I understand that money is at the root, but quilters will buy fabric, so I cannot see the necessity for making so many different collections constantly. Stephanie was saying she gets burned out thinking of new designs all the time and not having any time to quilt and sew and be happy with her art. We also need to be mindful of the damage fabric manufacture does to the environment. This kind of over production and acquisitiveness is costing us dear.

I have fun too
She is very refreshing.
I'm sewing up some squares four in a row, but when I go to sew them together ,the middle doesn't match up . What I'm going wrong?
