    My favorite Madame Sew product is the heat-erase pen. Just purchased a second batch. (First batch lasted from 2020-2024.) The bright pink-red and royal blue inks are very handy for colorful quilt marking.

    An… I think the best way for you to start quilting is with a precut quilt kit. All the cutting is done for you, and very accurately! The fabrics are good quality and the colors are modern. Donna

    She is utterly charming and it’s neat to see one of the people behind Madam Sew. I’m retired & old, but I hear quite a lot of parallels between An and mothers here. C’mon An, you could make tiny projects from quilted pieces too! 😊. Thank you Karen for introducing us to An, I love your interview style!

    Small world, didn’t realize until fully reading your YT description, that this is the company where I bought myself a Xmas gift this year.
    Chose the Madam Sew’s adaptable walking foot and invisible zipper foot for my vintage Bernina 910 machine. I’m not a quilter but didn’t want to invest US 500+ for a Bernina-specific walking foot just to occasionally use for pattern matching. This economic solution was posted on Sewing Pattern Review who recommended Madam Sew. Product was really well made and good instructions for use. Great interview.

    I started purchasing from Madam Sew about 3 years ago, starting with the 32-pc feet box & have purchased so many items since then. Actually my husband has purchased things for me as gifts. I probably use the foot tool box the most. I’m so glad you interviewed An. She’s the 1st person on your broadcast that I already knew about. Also, I just purchased the cordless Panasonic iron from a local fabric store during their weekly specials during the local quilt convention in Hampton, VA (USA), after watching your review of the iron a few weeks ago. Thanks for the relevant information on your show.

    In 2016 on a trip through Europe I was surprised to find that most quilt magazines were American like McCalls. Eventually i found a German quilting magazine, & while i don't speak or read German I knew I could rely on the basic layout of a pattern as the magazones write them. And in England I found a locally published quilt magazine that I subscribe to, because I really like their content.

    I purchased several Madam Sew items when I started quilting in 2020 ... including the presser foot box! I will note that I bought the blue chalk pen ( like the yellow one you showed) and used it on the top of a baby quilt to mark where to machine quilt, and it did NOT completely wash out!! Thanks for yet another interesting interview Karen!

      Perhaps An, the swim kimono You Tube,I think I clicked on it out of curiosity . If it were renamed "Beach wear" or "beach swimwear cover up" it may attract more hits. It's a cute and very easy pattern.

    As an older Aussie, l am quite comfortable with the metric system, but default to Imperial. I wanted a metric ruler to use for rotary cutting (was given a European precut pack). Only found one at Spotlight. It was too 'busy' to read, so l resorted to using inches & wasting a bit of the fabric. Lesson learnt.

    • @SuseMck994
      @SuseMck994 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As a middle aged Aussie, I had never used imperial until I started quilting last year. Initially I tried converting everything to metric, but I quickly realised it was going to be much quicker learning imperial 🙂 Now, yardage is really the only thing I convert back in order to purchase here. My teenager now tells me off for talking in inches🤣
