Your channel is amazing ! Just bout a t5.1 shuttle going to fit a leisure battery and still deciding to take rear interior out and carpet a line it with a headliner etc your channel is going to be my bible 🙏
Interesting video that happened to be recommended by TH-cam. One thing I noticed about the bigger clips was I needed to run a 10mm drill bit through the holes in the metal body. You made this look so easy and I like the tip about spray paint to mark the holes for the clips.
Thanks for the help the other day still in limbo with the kitchen unit for now however carpet went well good to speak on the phone , fridge now gone ha ha .

Hi, great video again. I'm learning so much to work on my T4. My roof panels are bowing down so want to re-attach them. How do you mark up the clip holes if the panels are held in with little screws at the moment?
Hi guys, thabks for the kind words. You ate looking for 12vdc LED downlighters. They come in many fifteenth forms and prices. But if you scour ebay and/amazon you should be able to find the right set. Alternatively, we use suppliers such as Rayne Automotive and Clearcut Conversions
Hi there have been getting some very good tips from your videos which I’m using on my own VW Caddy. One question tho the clips you are using on the factory fitted grey strips where do you get them from? Thanks again for the great videos
Hi Leigh ..I have the T5 ..and jus insulating it ..and may carpet the head liner ...can the original hard board liner be used if still in good condition ? Thanks
great vid - burrs on wood? not having a pop, just had a little giggle to myself buddy. keep up the good work, your obviously use to working with metal and not wood.
We prefer to offer and fit new headliners as the original may well be old and damaged. When an existing headliner is carpeted and fitted with lights they droop and sag due to the increased weight.
@@bmxbeck1803 They could be reused, but depending on the age and condition of the existing clips, the overall finish may well be improved by using new clips
Hey guys, great video as always! Couple of questions... - why didn’t you put the middle trim clip up (between the two roof panels)? - I’ve got my stuff from the exact same places :)! Should I carpet the panels, put the lights in and then put them up? Or do you guys just carpet over the entire roof in situ? Cheers
We are about to convert our Vauxhall Vivaro LWB 2014 > Do you know if the VW CNC Headliner kit will fit this vehicle? Templating the headliner is the thing that fills me with dread.
Thanks for the kind words Gary. Ideally you want a 3.6mm board for headliner. Thick enough to have strength, but light enough to not a stress on the fastenings
@@CombeValleyCampers thanks, I'll see how I go, worse comes to the worse I can always use the longer normal clips from Harrisons, but if they work then all good.
Lol you cocked up the front headliner didn't you! 😂 spotted it when you were banging on about marking holes with spray paint. That's why front trim wasn't covering and why you mysteriously ended the vid saying it's not quite finished (gap between panels was too tight to fit centre trim!). Best just to own up imo 😂
I've just found your vids in research to do my Vito. I've found head liner boards in 3.6 and 6mm. I see you used 3.6.......... I was going to order the 6mm as it's only £5.00 more. Would I be better with 3.6mm. Many thanks for all your vids
How would you finish off the join between the front cab and the new rear carpeted headliner, if you dont have that nice trim threshold? For a different van to one you showed, which recently had the bulkhead removed. I have looked online for a company that makes custom ones but cant find any. Cheers guys 👍🏼
Hi Anthony. Thanks for your kind words. Carpeting the roof panels is exactly the same as carpeting the door panels which we have done a video on if you take a look in the How To playlist.

Combe Valley Campers maybe a stupid question but if I’m removing and lining how do I apply the hidden clips? Followed your other video and and you’re fixing ply with clips, then carpeting over the top.

Is the principle the same for a T4?

Hi, love your videos so much Combe Valley Campers 💗 One question, the LED light that can be directly screwed onto the headliner, what are they called?

Great video, very useful. What thickness ply do you go for?
Generally 3.6mm ply as its light enough to be held up by the clips and string enough to support the weight of carpet lining and lights etc
Do you carpet over the clips in the roof so they are hidden or would you have to use a different type of clip if you want them hidden?
Hi Mark, We carpet the panels seperately then refit them by pushing the clips through the layers, therefore having them showing.
Have you done any work on a Subaru Sambar before? We are really struggling with fitting a new headliner! Love the videos xx
Do small vans like this not need any ventilation in the roof?
Another great video, on the subject of headliners could you do a video on recovering and modifying a pop top headliner adding lights etc? Thanks
Thanks Kevin, That's a difficult one to do as all pop tops are different, but we will see what we can do.

Yes, but it will sag over time with carpet and/or lights fitted. We sell a 3.6mm headliner for your van and they are a great fitting product
I’ve got the factory fitted roof liner in mint condition are they suit to use for a camper or is ply better? I’d be finish it in carpet

will Harrisons hidden clips be strong enough to hold up 3mm ply roof panels?
