    Thank you so much! I had already worked out how much carpet I would need from another CVC video but how to carpet with a poptop was giving me anxiety. This is the 1st video i've been able to find on TH-cam that actually talks about the technique for carpeting with a poptop.

    Thanks for all the information on conversions. I am just starting a Vivaro lwb and will be doing all the work myself. I have taken my time in deciding exactly what i want and how i will do it. The length of carpet was one thing i was looking for. Thanks

    I know pretty much the same size but I used 12m for my transit custom all sides, head liner for me and the panels - had a bit of excess but rekon that’s spot on 👍 Great video as ever guys 😃

    What flooring is in this van? It looks great!! This video may also have swayed me away from a grey carpet lining and towards this colour 🚀 thanks as always

    Have you ever carpet lined a VW Caddy?? If so how much carpet would be needed? Maybe 8 or 10 meters

    I see you did both sides separately, starting at B pillar, is this normal way ? Then you go back and carpet round the front of poptop above headlining ?
    Rather than do it all in one length ?

      It depends on the van and pop top, I prefer to carpet from the canvas down in one go to make a nice smooth finish from top to bottom. I hope that helps. Leigh

    Cool work man, I'm thinking of trying this myself I just got a question though. How come you carpet over the side panels separately and not just to it over the whole side with them underneath ?

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do both styles. This customer wanted panels separate in this case, but in our how-to video we carpet in one go :)

    I love pop up roof, how much does it cost?

    Hey guys - had some feedback about carpeting over access holes? Like in the transit custom there is access to rear light clusters? In my build I cut out the holes but then put a small panel onto op after to make it neat and tidy… some one has commented that this can impact air pressure in the van and when you close the doors the windows could pop out?! Have you guys ever seen this or any advice on it??

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have done the same with no problems over the rear light clusters. However, it is advisable to have a clear route through to the 'vent flaps' in the rear panels. An idea is ro add a series of holes in the panel, then carpet over the holes so the area is still 'breathable'

    You didn't really show how you carpeted the doors, which was not really the topic here, but do you have a video about that?
    It's not in the normal 'how to'.
    That's why I ask.

    I have a question? I have a swb T5 I have been quoted £1500 for the carpeting in the rear, one piece roof ply and both rear quarter panels over priced or about right ? I have sound proofed the rear only the lower parts already

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That seems not far off the mark for parts and labour on a custom job. I would suggest you price the parts separately, and maybe even give it a go yourself. We have more than one carpeting guide on the channel to help you out. Leigh

      @@CombeValleyCampers thanks for the speedy reply yeah I just don't want to mess it up doing it myself haha. They guy who quoted me I have seen his work seems Bob on. Only conserving part is he doesn't carpet line the rear barn doors as he said there are no edges to go flush it he only carpets the panels?
