I have triple-positive breast cancer, stage 1A. Next Friday is my surgery… a double mastectomy, and my reconstruction is in March. I chose DIEP flap.Good luck with your surgery 🙏🏻 everything will go well
I’ve had this discussion with my hubby a lot. If I ever get told I have any type of cancer of the breast it’s a double mastectomy. Completely flat no nipples. I’m not attached to my boobs and personally I barely grasp any femininity. My grandmother had it. As did my aunt. I also have very very dense tissue and am prone to cysts (not in my breasts. Just everywhere) I fed my baby. I’m done with them. It would be my chance to explore my masculinity, but in saying that I understand your worry and concerns and why you want a reconstruction. Speedy recovery ❤
You are the best. Thank you so much for sharing. I am wishing you all the best. I have learned so much just from watching the short video and I really look forward to going on your journey with you. You are not alone❤
I just finished breast cancer treatment….her2 positive..hormone negative…grade 3…I had a lumpectomy…chemo and radiation….im 48…my sister had BC at 47 and my grandma at 46…..they said it’s not genetic…but I don’t agree…had genetic counseling….i also have stage 3 melanoma….its crazy….wishing you a speedy recovery…..the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of cancer far outweigh the physical….😢
I’m 63 and just had a bilateral mastectomy with flat closure last month. LCIS both breasts. Remember you are not your body. You are a beautiful soul. I hope you have a good surgical team and support system. You got this my sister. ❤
YOU are Amazing and so beautiful in and out! I will be following you and with you every step of the way in my thoughts, my heart and my positive intentions. My Aunt Betty got both removed in her 40s and lived a full life into her late 80s--- and my cousin did as well 30 years ago in her 40s and is now a healthy 70.
My mom had breast cancer she waited to long she was the most special mother praying for you stay strong
I'm so sorry. Thank you!
It sounds like such a tedious process. I'm really sorry you're facing this. Saying a prayer for you.

You have to wait till the end of October for your DCIS surgery? That's a long time, do u get another scan before your operation? Xx
I had to wait for both surgeons to be available but it's going to be here before I know it!
