Your story and mine are exactly intertwined. Started with the humble beginning in Nigeria. 3 years in the Uk now a band 7. I believe whatever you want in this life is achievable. Your dreams should scare you but be persistent and put in the work . Thanks for sharing your growth story.
Welldone MJ🎉🎉…Watching your videos inspires and motivate me. I currently work as an HCA and just got an offer with the NHS. I never had a background in healthcare until I got to the UK. Ever since I started training as an HCA in the UK, it’s always my dream to become a Mental Health Nurse (I believe my dreams will come true). Please don’t stop doing more of inspiring videos and opportunities within the NHS. May God continue to bless you and give you the strength. Have a lovely day. Cheers 🥂
Thank you so much! Your support is so encouraging ❤️😍! Your dreams are valid! Not many people are positively motivated to grow, I’m glad you are not one of them! Wishing you all the best in your journey!
Congratulations once again Nurse Mj🎉 Thank you very much for sharing your story, funny how my story is related to yours just that I’m not a band 7 nurse yet😂 thanks for reminding me that I can do better and I can be more! much love nurse Mj💕 take home note “If the top is easy, everyone would be there”
Congratulations MJ, super proud of you and thankful to God on your behalf. Thanks for sharing tips on how to transit to the top in this career. I am a newly qualified UKRN .I have told myself that I must rise and be the best in my nursing career and recover, I am grateful we have people like you to inspire us. God bless you sister and many more wins Amen❤️❤️🙏🙏
Nurse MJ. Please I am Registered Nurse, I finished in November 2023. Please with the currently NMCN rule I want to do a top up in the UK to be able to get a UK RN license. What do I do Please. I have a BSc and MSc in Public Health.
most of the trainings I mentioned were free and on my employers intranet. I only sponsored my degree in PeriOperative practice. If you work with the NHS or private, you should be able to take the trainings for free as well.
Congratulations Nurse Mj on your amazing achievements in your nursing career you deserve it girl. We would love a video about the additional courses that you did to position yourself for promotion ❤
@Nurse MJ .. this just what i needed .. you have just fueled my already burning desire more .. I'm just starting my process of volunteering at hospitals here in Nigeria HCA in other to gain experience .. but alot people are talking me down saying i won't get any job by the time id be ready to apply for jobs in about 4 months from now ..
I'm looking forward to becoming a nurse .. but I don't see myself doing here in Nigeria ... THANK YOU SO SO MUCH.. this video really means a lot to me.. I'm glad I found you❤❤
No knowledge is a waste. You need those practice hours for jobs or to gain admission abroad. Keep doing what you are doing with joy and make sure to get a reference letter from there.
You have always motivated me nurse MJ, I remember one of your video on how to write a supporting statement, I implemented it into mine and I got 6 job interviews and 4 job offers with it, I even used it when I wanted to change my role and one of the interviewers said they love my supporting statement. Thanks for being a motivation…this is a push for me to keep wanting more. Your whole journey reflects hard work and determination…much love always 💕
Awesome! This is so reassuring! Knowing your little effort in inspiring others is producing positive results is literally what I live for! Thanks for sharing!! And I wish you all the best as you navigate this path❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice one MJ 🎉congratulations dear please where did you take the training is there a website for it. Secondly, how important is it to take join a nurse union like RCN incase anything happens
Hi Nurse Mj, congratulations!!!! This is an amazing journey I'm a registered nurse and finished from school of nursing I want to ask if it's advisable to get my degree through ODL during the process of finding a means to work in Canada or if it wouldn't make any difference if I just have a RN certificate
You inspire me a lot. Currently a bnsc holder and I have my license. Looking out for universities in the UK to do my MSc in theatre nurse. Is it possible? Or I need other qualifications?
Absolutely possible. You have all you need for it already. But it would be MSc in Perioperative practice/ Anesthesia or something similar… just make sure you go through what the course has got to offer b4 u sign up
I have a question I have heard some people say its best to finish the years stipulated in a contract.....that if you dont, other employers wont take your cv seriously
lol, that’s not true. You don’t have to complete a contract before you leave except there’s the clause in your contract that you must. Otherwise, no employer has the right to clamp down on your progress.
Any senior staff within your department can be your mentor… your manager can also be your mentor… or assign a senior/ more experienced staff member as your mentor. Having a mentor helps you navigate your journey easier and helps you stay focused.
Thank you for sharing, nurse MJ. If I graduate with a basic midwifery degree from school of nursing in Nigeria, can I use the RM degree to qualify as a RN outside Nigeria?
Awwhn! Thats so kind of you, thank you.. I would love to, but currently have a lot going on.. feel free to ask me any questions please… promise to stay inspiring through my contents…
Although this is usually a part of the requirement for Band 7, it is not always the case for band 6. And for Band 7, I currently do not have a Msc, but working towards one. However, I have other qualifications, trainings and years of experience to fill in for that. Indicating your desire and plans to take a MSc in future helps with your application.
Your story and mine are exactly intertwined. Started with the humble beginning in Nigeria. 3 years in the Uk now a band 7. I believe whatever you want in this life is achievable. Your dreams should scare you but be persistent and put in the work . Thanks for sharing your growth story.

Amazing 🤩
Inspiring 🔥🔥
Please, I'm a new nurse in the UK, I'm still confused about mentorship. Like who's my mentor? Is it my manager?
Any senior staff within your department can be your mentor… your manager can also be your mentor… or assign a senior/ more experienced staff member as your mentor. Having a mentor helps you navigate your journey easier and helps you stay focused.
@@NurseMJTV Thank you 😊
@@NurseMJTV Also, please how can I register for top-up Nursing degree program?
Do you have a video on that?
Good evening. I'm new here
Thank you for sharing, nurse MJ. If I graduate with a basic midwifery degree from school of nursing in Nigeria, can I use the RM degree to qualify as a RN outside Nigeria?
No, you can’t use RM to qualify as RN, you need to obtain a RN diploma or degree on its own.
Thank you, Nurse MJ for your response. Can I get the RN diploma outside Nigeria?
You’ve done so much for yourself and I absolutely adore 🎉🎉
Can you mentor me MJ please 🙏 😢
Awwhn! Thats so kind of you, thank you.. I would love to, but currently have a lot going on.. feel free to ask me any questions please… promise to stay inspiring through my contents…
Thank you
I look forward to being your mentee whenever the opportunity is available ❤❤
Wow, do band 7 earn 4k?
Beautiful 🎉
Is it necessary to have a Msc in Nursing to progress to band 6,7 e.t.c. Or can someone progress simply by experience ?
Although this is usually a part of the requirement for Band 7, it is not always the case for band 6. And for Band 7, I currently do not have a Msc, but working towards one. However, I have other qualifications, trainings and years of experience to fill in for that. Indicating your desire and plans to take a MSc in future helps with your application.
I will share a more detailed video for the band 7 application and trainings, kindly look out for that
