Congratulations! It’s not a journey for the faint hearted! I’m also a UK trained nurse who has been working as a USRN for over a year. It takes a lot of patience and God!
When I finally become a nurse,it's you, Belinda🎉. You motivate me, I have two degrees, and I still want to be a nurse. You make learning/study look easy.
And finally, we need a video on your mindset, the way you think and analyse things is out of this world. You need to share with us some of your tips and tricks so we can be baddies too.
So you will just need to get your nursing degree evaluated. Then sit for your green card. What are you doing studying nursing in the uk as a green card holder 😊

Huge congratulations Nurse Bellinda on the completion of your program and thank you for responding to my questions when I reached out on IG. You're a huge inspiration
Thanks for your video everything is on point ! The makeup and the information by God grace I will reach American soil ☺️ coz there are more opportunities past the UK America looks good on u!
Hi Belinda, good to hear that uou finally made it. So proud of your achievement. Wish i can do that. My question is this: what's advice to a new graduate who got a job offer ICU or ED? Which one do you think will be more beneficial?
Hi Belinda honestly I love to listern to your videos and advise I was actually waiting to hear from you as you mentioned you were relocating to the USA. Finally you have updated what the USA is like in regards to working in health sector. How is it like to work as a health care assistant as am planning to be a nurse in future . Belinda I know you arm high and this is not your possition but because of your genuine advice will appreciate your advise and put it on board as it is not very helpful to start nursing from the UK if you are planning to go to the USA. PLEASE ADVISE
Aww well done! Love seeing your progress since you were still completing your UK degree. You are a beast! 🙌🏾👏🏾 Also, can you explain in a vid how you got that 12k scholarship towards the US accelerated nursing programme?
Yes thats true , for example Polish nursing degree( also the one taught in English ) is accepted in Us as Polish nursing degree its based on american nursing curriculum and includes ginecology and peadiatrics.
Thanks great video, and congratulations of navigating such a transition. I am heading to California early next year. I have an American wife so visa is not an issue, I am expecting this to come through soon. The absn may have to be an option. Just wondered if you could tell me the name of the college you did yours? It's great you didn't have to do the full thing! What state are you now working in?
@@nurse_bellinda thanks for the reply. If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about funding the course , did you take out a loan or use savings? I am hoping I will just have to make up deficiencies as the courses can be costly!
Hi there, just wondering how your dental crowns are holding up these days? Any issues? I'm interesting in travelling to Turkey to get crowns as well, I'm eager to hear people's experiences several years after their procedure.
Hi, I know Physician Associate is a different career but since most say UK Physician Associates can't work in America, do you think there is a similar route to taking extra modules to work in the US as a UK trained Physician Associate especially as the GMC will be regulating Physician Associates? I'm just curious if you know anything about this. Thanks
It is a wild process!! Thank you for youe video. I've just got 1 question, i cant seem to find any answers. I didnt do peads/mothers in uni (uk trained) but i did when i was qualified as an RN. If i provided evidence of this would it be sufficient for cgfns?

@@nurse_bellinda oh wow, I didn’t know that. I was here thinking I could do them here. But does that mean I would have to move without fully knowing what university I’ve been accepted into? Or do they accept students and give them time to complete the prerequisites?

No unfortunately that will never be the case the USA can not copy UK nursing system because uk nursing system scope of practice is limited. I have a Registered General Nursing (RGN) from Nigeria. I’m currently in the UK and I intend doing my BSC in the UK. My question is, if I present my RGN and Adult Nursing BSC, will it be accepted in USA?
It would have been better if you used you OPT to work as a floor nurse for a few years and have that company file your green card for you. You can go back to NP school when you are a green card holder, it would be much cheaper.
Why should I work as a floor nurse? I have 20 months nursing experience as an emergency nurse. I did do opt, and I didn’t need a company to file for my greencard because I am a spouse of a permanent resident.
