- Installation of the Goodyear Shatterproof front and rear in channel window deflectors for wind and rain including an up close look at how to rear clips as well as correctly seating them in to the front window track to not conflict with the anti pinch operation of the windows.
This guide will work for the 2017 2018 2019 2020 and 2021 Mazda CX5.

Thank you SOOO much for making this and posting it. If I hadn't watched it, I for sure would have installed the front pieces inside the window channel, rather than underneath that seal. I will say, you sure made it look easy! I struggled with the front ones for a really long time! But it was worth it in the end, as I'm very happy with them. And the back ones were way easier. Thank you very, very much again for this invaluable help.
The only reason I’m buying this wind deflector is because Mazda tend fog up easily. Each time I use the fan my cx5 fog up easily. Then I turn on my front defogger, I smell car exhaust in front of me. Unfortunately I cannot close the recycled air. I don’t have this problem with Subaru
You may want to get that checked out, you should not be smelling exhaust while driving..
Do they make wind noise? I'm in Florida too just got 2023 cx5
What would you think about using some spray silicone on the plastic tool?
Great video. Love the color on your CX5. I’ve got 60k on my 2019 and it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned.
I am beyond annoyed with these. The clips go in.... as soon as I try to put the deflecors in they pop out. I tried for over 30 minutes to get 1 deflector in and every single time these stupid clips popped out
How have they held up after all these years? Have they cracked, fallen or faded?
I can happily say I've had no issues, and I frequently have all my windows down, almost everyday.

I just tried this on my 23 Cx5. The clips wouldn't go in like was shown. They wouldn't sit on there at all. Going to take a break. I have the weather tech ones and their videos are on a truck. Sigh

How can you remove the deflectors and reseated back properly without removing the tape

I do. It's not unbearable and I've gotten used to it so I don't even notice it.

No issues with keeping the windows from going back up.
No issues with discoloration, cracking, or breaking.
I put all 4 windows down daily to air out the car after work before I drive home due to the heat here in FL.
can you remove the goodyear name sticker from the front ones ? looks like crap with it on there
I just tried and I don't believe so. Don't even notice them and honestly had forgotten they were on there until you mentioned it 😅.
The front windows did not go in for me without the sensors tripping.
Hey Joseph, sorry to hear that.
Did you make sure to insert them into the right channel? Remember the plastic should not be touching the window at all.
It's fairly difficult to get it in where it needs to go, so if it went in easy I'd make sure to check you're not in the wrong channel.
Between the seals and under the window frame (door), not in the window channel.
Really nice car in that Machine Grey colour, that’s its name in my country. Did you get the turbo or non turbo? If I may suggest keep up the protection on the exterior black plastic to keep it from looking crap in a few years. Could try a ceramic coating on it, there’s one intended for the plastic. Other stuff like Armourall is good but short lived and seems to show water streaking on it. I have great success on a Toyota with Armourall but different makes use different plastics. I have a feeling the Mazda plastics may not like Armourall that much.
I’m on the lookout for a CX-5.
