In a well run company, should its structure be a circle? Are the real Chief Executive Officers the ones that are called "managers"? The ones that are actually executing? How are they not going to be surprised, if they're physically out of touch? I've heard a LOT of stories from employees about the "ceos" of Waffle House even being on rooftops with the managers to understand issues, and all around working alongside. There are others I don't call out that I've heard about, but if it doesn't start out that way, will it grow that way?

I am glad for the first woman where the CEO give her a house, but at the same time, that doesn't fix the fact that the role she was working (presumably full time) was not paying a living wage. The CEO made a difference for one employee's life, but he could have easily helped out for *everyone* with that role by increasing the wages up to a living wage.

As someone who's worked 2 jobs while living in a shelter I can confidently say that there are definitely people who act on this belief. I was 18 (19 now) and there were so many people who ive seen extremely moved just based off that fact, they would invite me and my friends to dinner and a coworker even got me a bike that I broke immediately by crashing. People dont dislike homeless people, they dislike bums, they want to see people trying to better their lives themselves before they help. Dunno who needs to hear this but no matter what, if youve hit rock bottom keep struggling. People will recognise the determination you have and be moved by it. If you get knocked down get back up again. I believe in you

Indeed, for a corporation giving a donation, it's a tax deduction, meaning 20-30% is covered by taxpayers instead of the business. In reality, he gave like $3600, and made the guy indirectly support the other $1400. The amusement park trip can also be written off as a tax deduction, and most egregiously would be a transient experience. From the clips, the CEO demonstrated either an unwillingness to invest in his employees or an inability to empathize.

I feel like the hooters manager should have been fired. That scene made me feel so uncomfortable, it wasn’t a mistake, it was purposefully demeaning.

I wish that first story was more common. Im barely affording rent and food and I’ve come from helping two businesses run and survive. Now im just a afterthought of companies I do way more then I should for. Slowly but surely businesses is becoming more about cheating and lying then it is about service and community.

Most of them probably know that it's their boss. A camera Infront of them and behind them and at the sides too. That's why they give sob stories and patronise the company all day.

these must be fake af dont tell me that the employee just sees a bunch of camera guys comming in with the undercover boss and is like yeah thats pretty normal (3:31 for example you can clearly see the cameraman so it's not like the cameras are hidden)
