I am using this guide right now and it took away a lot of my anxiety. I will not go all the way, it did not look dusty at all. I had bought a computer vacuum that came to great use. I do repair computers including micro soldering but my PS5 is near and dear to me. Playing video games is a good way to relax and knowing it is going to be clean will keep it going for another year. I tend to do this once a year when Spring arrives.

i hate that they make you take it almost completly apart to be able to reach the psu vents. main problem with ps5 is those vents getting plugged with dust

I agree I just take the fan out deep clean it and clean as much of the heat sink that I can get to. I do this every 3 months just to stay on top of it.

9:40 you said screw all the 41 screws in and I zoomed up on the video and even where you put a red arrow at I saw you didn't screw all the holes near the disc side wasn't screw in 🤔 I corrected myself tho thanks for the video

I've never had an issue using an air duster with any kind of electronics. I see why someone might think dust would get pushed further into the console but in reality it usually gets blown out or at the very least loosened

I used this electric air duster in this video: amzn.to/3Ye0vIj Antistatic vacuums specifically can be a lot more expensive (around $500). A lot of companies market dust blowers as "vacuums" or they will say that a vacuum that causes static is antistatic. Avoid fake vacuums as they can damage the internals. In my experience a dust blower (canned or electric) works just fine.
Using the vacuum in the hole Sony provided for cleaning will be fine. If you use it around any other components deeper inside of the PS5 then you do risk discharging static and damaging the PS5
You need to lift just a little on the playstation logo side and slide the left(logo on right side) at the same time. Be careful cause I bought after market plates and broke some tabs that lock it in place so I wasted $40

For the basic clean, I just use my home vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. It’s pretty effective.

It’s actually T8H. Has to have the hole in the middle. Normal T8 is solid and doesn’t work that good

They have dust covers for the PS5 that sticks around the air vents, unless you have an after market plate that has extra vent holes
