I’ve been searching for a way to build bi-fold doors for my tractor shed. Here in north Idaho I needed a door that wouldn’t get blocked by snow from the roof. Thanks!
Try searching this on lowes website..."National Hardware 16ft Barn Door". I searched this and it pulled up all the hardware you would need, plus it has descriptions of the hardware pieces if you need to do more searching. Hope this helps. 🛠🪛
If I had to build today verses back when it was built I would estimate the cost around 375 to 400 at todays prices. Thats buying everything from the store. There really wasnt to much that I used that wasn`t purchased already before in that build, so that cost was factored in when I made the video.
I like this design idea. Hanging the panels from the center eliminates sagging issues that are common in side mounted doors. 👍 Thanks!
@@scottwylde8528 Thanks for watching.
Great idea! I'm going to give this a whirl. Thanks!
It really works good. If you get a lot of high wind add a second latch to the center. That was the only thing I didn't account for.

Perfect! I hope it works out for you like mine did.
Nice! I wish you would have showed you opening and closing them.
Perhaps I will make a short on that. Thanks for watching.
You are so handy! And great job packing all this great info into under 7 minutes 🌿

How much width did you lose in the opening?
If your talking about when the doors are folded back then the answer is about a foot. Thanks for watching!
