- Today's mock test is with my brother Sam, who has had a full driving licence for over 13 years. He mainly drives an automatic car, but does have a full manual licence.
Will an experienced driver pass their test? Will he take it seriously?

Hiya .. I would like to let you know that I passed the test with only 2 minor faults. I can’t believe it considering I’m not from UK 🇬🇧 and I have only been here for 2 years. I also want to thank you for your videos 🙂 watching them really helps me to pass the test 🎉

@@xalimoainthomenot really, I think around 1/10 people who have had their licence for over a few years will fail, being a good driver and training in order to pass your test are completely different

I passed in October and still watch your vids! I would recommend it to any new driver, really helps to remember what good driving is and stops you falling into bad habits once you drive solo :)

Love all the videos; they have really helped me. However, in my previous test, I got a serious fault for flashing someone to give way, not knowing it was illegal.
I really want to do a mock test now I’ve watched a few of these. I passed my test in 1997, what’s that? 26 years, that’s crazy!

In Belgium and the Netherlamds is a serious fault if you dont keep both hands on the wheel. You fail your driving test if you dont hold both hands on the wheel. Only for changing gears you can the one hand off, but directly than put it back again on the steering wheel.
Love watching your videos as they are always done so well and very clear explanations in all of them. Why did you let your brother get away with not holding the steering wheel on so many occasions? Surely that would be a fail as not in full control of the vehicle. He needs to learn more from his sister. 😊

21:05, if you guys approach traffic light junctions, dnt just assume everyone's gnna stop at a red light, i've seen thousands of vehicles goin thru red lights & if you guys hav to wait when your side turns green then just wait, coz there will be someone charging thru that red light!!!

i genuinely dont get why you can get your license and then its for life. there should be repeat tests every 10 years or so, especially as people get older. once my siblings and i were adults, i noticed a change in my parent's driving, way less caution... plus, when they took their tests there was no theory test! Just the practical. Quizzed them on a few questions when I was studying for them and they had no clue for most of them lol
People with medical conditions get checked to make sure they are fit to drive but ye I agree
Not enough examiners to clear L test backlog never mind do regular retests, thus it will never happen. An increase in examiners would be at the expense of quality & it isn't a high paid job with thousands queuing up to apply.
I really liked watching this video, your brother was himself all the way, he drove with his kinda bad habits and didn't pretend to hide them just for the sake of this video. This made me realise that good habits are 50% of a successful driving journey. Thank you Aman ❤

Can examiners mark down or fail for not holding steering wheel properly?
Been doing it for 22 years and 15 years as Class 2 drivers with max 720 km in a day once which give me MAX proper experience and I can tell You this instructor is already winning with usual driver at the beginning..He should keep steering wheel with two hands.He should drive with his elbow i guess.No progress on the road...no problem-kids on the road and simply almost no slowing down though he had distance to slow down.This is just my few minutes when I am writing this comment.NO OFFENSE

Any tips from people that struggled with anxiety when it comes to the test?
Relax. Don't overthink. If you need to, ask the examiner to clarify or repeat instructions (no matter how many times), the examiner will open a bit of dialog with you - take that as their attempt to being friendly. if you want you can have your instructor in the vehicle with you, if you have a lesson beforehand & then take that time to relax & calm down. If something does go wrong (especially if it's not your fault) - DON'T PANIC - the examiner will be trained for most scenarioes.

Make sure you take a driving lesson before your test. Have a bottle of water or drink, I actually drank red bull lol kept me alert 😂 and I had sweets
Also, if you do make a mistake don't think you've failed, it could just be a minor.
Another thing I will say is, if your at junctions or crossing, and if you can't see ahead , stay back as long as you can, you don't want to rush out, you rather get a minor for waiting than a major for causing obstruction.
You will be fine, don't worry, ❤🙏
Oh one more thing, show me tell me questions, if you don't know, just say sorry I don't know. You will only get a minor for it. Good luck 🤞🏼

My phone stays in my pocket when driving . Period.
I feel like many men drive like this. it's completely different from how women drive (not all of them of course and not all men) and I'm clutching the seat and "breaking" all the time I can't help it :D it makes me anxious like crazy, especially not leaving enough space in between cars

He should have both hands on the steering wheel at all times, apart from when changing gears, indicating or using other buttons on car. He hasn't full control of the car with only one hand on the wheel. That's how I was taught anyway.
These routes seem to last twice as long as my test route, even though the video is only half an hour.
