If you do a better boat tour in daylight and with better angles i bet you could easily get 10k views.

From Hawaii to anywhere is extremely far. You will be looking at a month or more at sea before you see land sailing that boat. Please spend the next year sailing around the Hawaiian Islands and don't be in any hurry to cross the ocean. First sail around Oahu for practice. then go to Molokai as it is upwind, so it's easy to get back if you can't make it. Work your way around the Big Island and back to get a realistic idea of what you're facing. Lastly circle Kauai, as coming back from there is a long upwind climb. I love your youthful ambition and wish you well. Just don't try anything crazy. Sailing out of Pearl Harbor headed for the Marquesas on that boat would be suicide. Have a long and happy life.

I might make it on the first try you never know! Hahahah 😆😄✅ but thank you though, I’ll most likely take your advice, unless I’m feeling especially daring lol

Aloha from the Big island. I like that you have a sense of adventure but I feel at the moment ignorance is bliss. Before you venture out beyond the marina replace ALL of the stainless steel cables that hold up the mast. Do it or risk your mast falling over with your dream. The cables need to be replaced every ten years or they can snap due to electroisys. Do it. After that get sailing lessons, get a wind vane self steering unit and someone to sail with you, a friend you can trust. The ocean can be very harsh to all boats, respect it, learn it and then sail on!! I and a two others sailed a twenty eight foot sailboat from England to New York when we were twenty four, five thousand miles by the trade wind route. Good luck and check this out for a taste of the open ocean, ' HEAVY WEATHER and 6m seas in a 40ft Beneteau | Atlantic Crossing Part 3 - EP 15 - Sailing Beaver' On TH-cam. Good Luck and have fun, don't go alone!

Love your sailboat! You got a good deal.
Don't let bitter people get to you. I was cashier for 9 years at Walmart. As long as you leave the person with a smile and "have a good day" you show them that their bitterness was undetected.
Hopefully sometime you can have a TH-cam membership that I can join, I will look forward to that😁🥰

Do you have experience sailing a solo sailboat like that in the open ocean ? Just wondering as I don’t recall hearing about it in prior videos. I am looking forward to watching this adventure as it moves forward.

      It’s a 27’ hunter sailboat

@@Jackthetraveler Hunters are not known to be good quality boats especially the older ones. Similar to Macgregors. I would plan on replacing all of the standing rigging and have the mast looked at by a good chandler. Are you a sailor? It's a good looking boat but all boats need money and labor. If you are planning on crossing the ocean especially single hand, you will need to spend significant time and money preparing the boat and your sailing skills.
