I like Foldspace there instead of Shipping. He ends up with the Guild alliance and blocks Helena out of shipping for another round. The combat wasn’t so critical he needed to commit to it.
1:35:37 I don’t think it mattered because you had rapid mobilization anyways, but you said you couldn’t add the troops you got from the Reinforcements intrigue because it wasn’t your reveal turn, but I think you could have because you went to a combat spot (Arrakeen) anyways.

The thing with chairdog is that there are only a select number of cards that you actually want to both play and reveal. Without that Jessica, Piter, Web of Power etc. the dog just doesn't really do much. On top of that I had a game a while back where I was going for Long Reach, so I took some graft cards to be able to play it and I just ended up never drawing the hand correctly to ever use Long Reach, even though I got it first rotation. These things just make me feel like graft synergies are just not worth it. Only pick graft cards that actually are just good on their own.
When a conflict involving one of the named places comes around (Siege of Arakeen, Battle for Carthag etc.) and a player controls that spot on the board (the little flag token you get for winning a combat there before), that player gets one troop in combat for free - as something of a defending garrison.
