I agree with this. I also think porosity could be decreased or avoided if it was brushed on. Is there some off road unwritten rule that you cannot dismount the tire?
When you buy tubeless tire patches they are used on the inside of the tire. Patching from the inside has the highest chance of stopping the leak. I have no idea on what is best structurally to support a damaged tire side wall. But, as I said patching from the inside is the best way to try to stop a leak.
The next time try dismounting the tire and do the cleaning. Let it dry well and lay the tire with the damaged side down and let the flex seal pool in the slit of the tire. Also to avoid porosity it might be better just to get the bush on flex seal.
So I mentioned tubing it and you said no. Cant be done. OK, how about glueing rubber tube mateiral onto the inner sidewall? Still no? Regards from Ody Slim
Yes, I could put a patch on the inside and that would be the correct way to repair this tire. It just involves me having to tear down these tires haha I was being lazy and hopeful with the sidewall patch and flex seal. Appreciate and Thanks For Watching!
I've got lots of random Tractor tire sealants, but these rims are double bead locks with run flats so they can't take the sealant in them. Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
Unfortunely these double bead lock wheels have run flats so they wont take a tube, So I will have to patch the inside. Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I wonder if it would work better if sprayed on the inside?
I was thinking the same thing, try applying on the inside!
Worth a try! These tires are purely for offroad use, so why not! Appreciate it and Thanks For Watching!
I was thinking about the spring inside also
I also like watching you do sketchy stuff. It’s fun. 😂😂
Inside and several coats and it will hold
