This looks so delicious. I will defiantly make this for my grandson & I. So glad you are back. I am 75 years young & blessed to still be learning from fabulous cooks like you. Thank you so much.
I'm not a fan of spinach but that looks good. We stopped having Thant green bean mess years ago. Please let me say again that I am so happy your making videos again!
Please make a comeback!! Your canning and preserving videos were always spot on and invaluable to me!! We sure could use your food storage wisdom in times like these ♥️
Found your channel not long ago watching all your videos, wish you were still doing them, your information is so reliable wish you would consider coming back, my granddaughter and I love to watch, you have really gotten her into cooking and the environment miss your common sense approach
Hi Kat😀 thank you so much for all that you do for your channel as well as your viewers. As a culinary graduate I still find something to learn each time I watch you cook. Thank you for everything. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 💖
Crystal! Thank you so much for this great comment! It makes me happy that you learn from my videos. I'm going to post a few recipes this coming year that are a bit more involved. I hope you'll like them.
I appreciate you sharing the age of your food storage. I have used evaporated milk 5 years past the best buy date and found it to be just fine. It's good to know that it will last even longer. I'm also glad you commented about the slight rust which didn't affect the content of the can. My mom taught me to always smell and check the content of the cans/jars. Your tips helps me with my food storage. Good to see you posting videos. Sure have missed hearing your lovely voice.
I found you,Kneady Homesteader and Noreen;s Kitchen all in the same day.:) You guys gave this old gal the incentive to start canning once more. I also started stocking my pantry for emergencies, thanks to you!
Oh my gosh I'm so glad your back. I have missed you. I have probably watch some of your videos so many times that i would have warn the tape out if it was a VHS tape.

So happy that I'm not the only one who squeezes the spinach with my hands. This sounds so good and it is just in time to make it onto our Thanksgiving menu. Thank you for the information about the canned milk products. I always learn a little something extra from your videos.

I keep going back and watching this video. Once or twice a week for a couple of months. It’s for thanksgiving! But I’m doing keto so I’m going to use cream instead of roux and evap milk. Fingers crossed it tastes just as good. And I’ll use a pink bowl-green and pink is such a lovely combination. Thinking about a splurge to come helps keep me from cheating. Even planning your serving dishes might be a tad obsessive though.
My five year old granddaughter watched this video with me. She said,”I bet that’s delicious.” We will serve it at our Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
You're comment made me so happy. I'm an early childhood specialist so hearing that my video "spoke" to a 5 year old thrills me! I hope she LOVES this spinach. If she's interested in cooking and being in the kitchen, start her a cookbook now!
If it's really old, you might find a couple of little hard white bits, "grit" at the bottom. Not to worry, that's just calcium citrate and it perfectly normal for it to bond together like that after several years. Thanks for watching.
just wanted to let you know I finally got to this recipe in my Katz file. I made it and it is delish! Miss your lovely voice, information and wisdom you've shared with so many of us over the years! Blessings
Great recipe!...and it looks so lovely in your pretty green serving dish! I will be trying this for sure. I totally agree about the canned spinach, lol! Frozen spinach is probably the best deal at the supermarket! Imagine how much fresh spinach it would take to make this dish!
I sure will. I want to use fresh spinach to make it though, they sell 3lb. bags of it at Costco, do you think that would about equal the 40oz. you use frozen if I cook and squeeze it? I guess that might be a hard question to answer though, guess I'll cook, squeeze and weigh it to see. :-)
Thank you Kat, I actually purchased the bag from Costco and it ended up being 2.5 pounds instead of 3 so, it will work out fine. Do you think if I make it that it would freeze well? Thanks
Kat, I love your recipes they are so good and well planned out! Also I love that the recipe will hold up to being changed up a little to create something different. This with added jalapeno cheese would make an awesome cheese/spinach dip! Huggs girl you gave me a great side dish and one for dipping and watching a movie with!
I followed you for years but somehow lost you on my list. Was looking something up tonight about canning and your channel popped up. So glad to have found you again. I hope you are still making videos. I look forward to trying the spinach dish!

I've watched this spinach recipe about 82 and a half times. I'm adopting you as "mom" though you're too young for that. Gotta tell ya, I made your creamy jalapeno spinach for Thanksgiving and it was great. As my son watched me cook (to copy it), I told him there's a lady on youtube THAT I TRUST and I got it there-yes I said 'Katzcradul' for your credit. He LOVED it and I did too. We were both worried that it would get too firm as it cooled but stayed creamy throughout the dinner. I love that you cook several things with evaporated milk-a unique taste that I've always liked. So till next time keep up the good hard work for us. Would love to see more side dishes, especially those fruit sides you keep talking about. I miss Prepper A taste testing but Paladin does pretty good too. Thx mom!!
I just love your comment. It's the first one I read this morning as I'm having my coffee. I plan to shoot a video today with Prepper A. I'm SO glad you loved the jalapeno spinach. You're so right. It stays deliciously creamy. Did you have any leftovers because it reheats perfectly and may be even better the second day? I love having leftovers! Connie R. First I want to say I am so excited to try this recipe. I live of grid and don't have a microwave. About how long would I cook the spinach on the stove top?
Hi Kat! Got a new computer and had to come back to download all the wonderful recipies you've shared with us over the years. Wish you were back. We could sure use you right now. :.( I know there are other channels, but NOBODY has your teaching style. I never got nervous working with your dishes. Thank you for everything. You're the one who got me to start canning and building my pantry. You'd be very impressed. I listened well. lol Last year during all this mess, we never had to leave the house once! If they want to pull this bs again, my whole family will be just fine. ;-) Hope you and your family are well. God bless you, and hope to hear your lovely, calming voice on yt again.
I dunno, Katz...my mom's green bean casserole was to die for! But seeing as how I'm a spinach addict, I'll guarantee I'll give this a go. Happy Thanksgiving!
Ann, I'm just so tired of the soupy, green bean thing with the little fake onions on top that get all limp and nasty when reheated. It's just gross. But I totally get tradition. If your mom did it well, your luckier than most. You have a great Thanksgiving.
I’m IN LOVE!!! I LOVE spinach! Love it! Well I love collards and turnip greens a good bit too. My husband REFUSES to eat spinach in a can cause we just think it totally ruins the taste of spinach. Nothing compares to fresh but frozen is the ONLY way to go when you’re out of fresh. I keep tons of bags in my freezer. And I agree it is amazing with smoked meat. In fact I’ll roast a couple smoked pork shanks and then add it and the drippings to a pot with a couple bags of spinach and it’s divine. I am so glad you mentioned that wretched green bean casserole. I won’t eat it. My girls won’t either for that matter. It’s over served and frankly not very good to me. Just my opinion. I’m definitely giving this a try! Thanks so much for sharing. I shared to my FB too! God Bless and I sure hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving! ~Lisa
This looks amazing. I will try this for Thanksgiving! My sister and I were planning our menu yesterday and we were just saying we needed something else green. We were planning broccoli casserole but it sure will be nice to try something different. BTW it's great to see a new post from you. I have missed you!
Tngirl68, I think you'll be glad you added this recipe to your Thanksgiving menu. It's SO good. Be sure to check out the videos I recently posted on BLUEBERRY BANANA BREAD and JALAPENO POPPERS. Thanks for watching. It feels so good to be back.
Il try this as short hand as I can... great vid, great tutorials from you always, on everything. Missed you while you were away even though I never commented in the past.. I was always paying attention. So It's still great that you're back. I hope prepperA is loving learning still and is out there tearing up onions in the world! You put in a lot of effort to your vids and it shows in the respect for you that I see in the comments. Dont ever change !! Unless you want to. Take care and happy thanksgiving to you and yours. Regards from coffee.
Made today Thanksgiving 2019. Really really good. I think the Worcestershire is what makes it especially zingy. I did add a jalapeño and sauté with the onion. Used heavy cream instead of roux and milk so keto friendly. It’s the bomb! Thank you!
Just want to leave a review, I made this for Christmas supper and everyone loved it. I got to the bottom of the recipe and realized I was short on spinach of all things. So, I found a few jars of artichokes. It was still wonderful.
How can you go wrong with spinach AND artichokes! I'm so glad your family liked this recipe. Thank you so much for letting me know. Reading your message was the perfect ending to my day. K ~
Sing away. I love it! Sure your could! Mon change out the cheese. Monterey jack or white cheddar would work. Just use cayenne (red peper) to still give it the zip. It's so delicious!
Hey Katz👋 WOW!! this looks absolutely YUMMY!!😋 I am sooo going to try this, except using baby spinach! What a great side dish!! Ideas ran thru my head, one being to make a vegetable lasagne type dish using this as the filling, I think it’d be awesome!? 👍🏻 Thanks Katz & Paladin P.....I just LUV watching your channel 🙂xx
Love spinach! But I am really really wussy, and pepper jack cheese is too hot for me. Do they even make a plain jack cheese? Is there another cheese you might suggest? Thanks Katz
OMGolly...I upped my game as you suggested, and the family dove in before I could even take a decent picture for you. I venture to say it trumped my brother's famous Mac/cheese side. Ha Ha Roger. Of course I had to cough up your recipe. Thanks Katz...for bringing this delightful dish to my Thanksgiving table. You are well loved by all my family, but me the most (of course)! I hope your day was perfect.
Oh, yea! I'm thrilled your family loved this dish. I bet Rogers mac & cheese was delicious too! Thanks so much not only for watching my videos but for trying my recipes. That makes me so happy. Our Thanksgiving day was perfect.

Darlene, let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching.
I grew up w my mom serving Stoufer's spinach Soufflé! This is certainly a step up!!! Thank you for the recipe!!!
You're exactly right! This is a step up. It's creamy like the Stouffer's but this has SO much more flavor. I predict you're going to love it.
Thanks for sharing this! I love your videos. You are a treasure. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours .
Yum! On my list to make soon.
Please, let me know how you like it.
LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY

First I want to say I am so excited to try this recipe. I live of grid and don't have a microwave. About how long would I cook the spinach on the stove top?
The spinach needs very little cooking. Just a couple of minutes should do it. You're going to love this recipe!
Just wanted to let you know I made it for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone loved it. It's a keeper. :)
I'm so glad your family loved this recipe! Thanks for letting me know.
I just might have found the spinach recipe my kids will eat! Thanks Katzcradul. :D
I bet they will! Let me know. And you're so welcome!
That is absolutely beautiful!!!! ❤️
~Lisa
Can this be made the day before? Love your vids!
You bet! Thanks so much for watching!
I can’t wait to try this. I have decided to take this to Thanksgiving instead of brussel sprouts. Thank you.
This spinach is hard to beat. I think you're going to love it.
Coffee, I'm so glad you finally spoke up! It's good to hear from you. Thank you for your kind comment.
Looks delicious can’t wait to make it! I’m with you, time to replace the green bean casserole! 😁
I know! Enough with the soupy green beans already! Thanks for watching!
Blessings 🌼 replaying your videos..miss the old days. 😆
Ok got my ingredients and will be making this for Thanksgiving! Thank you
Tracy, I hope you love it. You're so welcome.
I am making this!
You won't be sorry! It's wonderful.
I'm so glad your back I could sing. Allergic to jalapenos could I add another cheese and if so what would go with this.
Sing away. I love it! Sure your could! Mon change out the cheese. Monterey jack or white cheddar would work. Just use cayenne (red peper) to still give it the zip. It's so delicious!
This was good!
Did you serve it for Thanksgiving? I'm so glad you liked it!
Thanks Katz & Paladin P.....I just LUV watching your channel 🙂xx
Thank you Adele!
Thanks honey, I'll be making it this weekend!
Love spinach! But I am really really wussy, and pepper jack cheese is too hot for me. Do they even make a plain jack cheese? Is there another cheese you might suggest? Thanks Katz
Plain jack would work just fine. Let me know how you like it.
I just wish I knew how to make a cayenne pepper lixir ~ hope I'm spelling that right!
Search "cayenne pepper elixir" on TH-cam. You'll get serveral hits.
Both of you work very well together! I watched on TH-cam that you can make a cayenne pepper lixer ~ put it in the mouth of someone experiencing a heart attack and it will instantly bring them out of their heart attack!
