Meet the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly, along with our three adventurous children. Nine years ago, we embarked on an incredible journey, leaving our home in Alaska, USA, behind to explore the world. As teachers, we were fortunate to find amazing opportunities in Chennai, India, where we spent two enriching years. Seeking new experiences, we then made our way to the United Arab Emirates.
Just as we were settling into our UAE life, the pandemic struck, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity for another chapter in our journey. We moved to Indonesia, where we currently hold teaching jobs, and it has been a time of learning, growth, and connection.
As a family, we thrive on traveling and embracing the unknown. Adventures are our way of life, and through our experiences, we aim to inspire our children to be confident in meeting new people, trying diverse cuisines, and immersing themselves in different languages and cultures.

hahaha I always love Brem since I was a kid, my aunty used to bring some home after a work out of town. It's chalky, melts and disappears in your tongue, sweet, tangy, lovely.
The Brem was very nice.
Next time you buy an executive class for a family with 4 members, you'd better not buy seats in a row, but buy seats like 5a, 5b and 6 a and 6 b. You know why? You can turn the seats facing the direction of the train to the opposite direction buy stepping down the lever under the seat on the aile side. So you can sit facing each other. Normally all the seats are arranged on the same direction, but if you travel with a family with 4 members you can occupy 4 seats with subsequent numbers on the same column and change one of the seats set so that you are sitting facing each other. That'll be more fun literally.

Fun fact, if you in executive class train in Indonesia. You can request to the crew to turn the seat to face to face for 4 person.
There is a hidden gem in Jogja...called Dirgantara Mandala Museum....it is an air force museum with extensive collection of WW2 and Cold War aircrafts, in indoor and outdoor exhibitions....including a huge Soviet Tu-16 bomber jet.
