Great video love my TRX 40. I keep center of string above the peep as well because of Jesse. Lol. It allows me to move it up and down for minor peep rotation correction. Also Jesse recommends on longer axle Mathews bows to set bottom of arrow in the middle of the berger hole, and setting the center of the rest at 13/16 off riser and using top hats for left/right tears. Great video Chris!

You should do an detailed video on how to set up a sight tape adjustable sight. From 20 to 100 yarda. I'm still confused about it

Love the videos! Thinking seriously about putting the Hoyt on the shelf and picking up a Mathews TRX. My question is; it’s been a year now since you put this video out. If you had to choose between the 36”,38”,or the 40” for Vegas / field, which would you choose and why?

I met him in irl and asked a similar question he simply said that the 38 feels the best to him for his draw length but you have to shoot them and find out which one fits you the best.
I can do the doggie and use Allen keys. I’m a good time.

Hey man, I am going to buy a target bow, but I have no clue. I love my VXR and my local shop recommended the TRX 40. Is 60# a good weight? I usually shoot 70+ with my hunting bows. Any advice, if you have time, with a setup would be wonderful because I want to pull the trigger soon.
I personally like the 38 better than the 40 or 36 the cams in the new bows just didn’t work well with my shot but you do what you want to do
Colton COnverse Thank you very much for your input! Dude, I know nothing about target. You like the 38 because of the cams. What DL are you, f you don’t mind me asking. What DW would you recommend? I shoot 70# + with my hunting compounds and recurve
If u can shoot 70 pounds for a lot of shots I would say shoot 70 if ur going to do unknown because you’ll get a flatter arrow trajectory
Most pros target bows will have a DW of 52-62. I think Jesse Broadwater shoots at 55-58 pounds. I shoot Hoyts but I’d build out the TRX 40 with freak show rest extended mount, achieve xp sight, shrewd scope and AAE HotRod stabilizers.

Do you ever have problems with your insite peep not lining up? I just got one but can’t seem to get it to the same spot each draw.

amazes me that something as precise as a target bow would not have anti twist front stabilizer mounts... just seems weird having to guess the exact amount your fitting with twist as you attempt to get it to land perfectly straight tightening...gets even wonkier feeling if you clamp down the wrist strap mount in between. Not saying it makes a difference just seems weird. also as a newb I was surprised no torque values are included with bows/accessories... steel bolts into carbon and aluminum risers seems like having these values available would not be bad idea :)

Can anyone tell me any tips?? Ive been shooting for about 3 1/2 years now and I shoot a tru Fire sear release but sometimes when I go to shoot I think I get a little too relaxed and my string jerks forward and The show won’t follow through. Do I need to change my draw length, poundage or start holding back a little more pressure??

Why don’t people measure from axle to axle and find the exact middle of the string and then tie in to that, then adjust the rest/yolks based on paper tune?

Just keep shooting your current bow, put some good accessories on it, it'll feel like a totally different bow. alAnd whenever you feel like upgrading your bow you can save up for a TRX, and transfer the rest, peep, sight etc. Your old bow should get you a couple hundred dollars closer to the TRX. Do be sure to shoot a couple different bows though. The TRX is a very smooth bow, the Invicta is agressive, the Elite Rezult is incredibly easy to set up, the PSE, well, it's a PSE, PSE is just a good bow at a good price. Doesn't necessarily excell at anything, but they're still awesome bows. I still shoot a 2017 PSE Xpression. I'd say the main benifit with PSE is that it's good value, and there's no need to replace anything. The Rezult needs a PSE roller guard, for example.

Can I send my vxr to you for it to be completely tuned from head to toe the dealership I bought it from I feel did a crappy job and was just trying to get me out of the door and if I did would it void out my lifetime warranty
I also want to get the 75 lb. Mod which the dealership was also supposed to order and have put on if you could do that I would greatly appreciate it and also install one of your grips I'm willing to pay whatever
MrKingcasso how are they going to know if you tune it yourself? Also, I doubt the warranty will be void unless you do something ‘wrong’ or not in accordance with practice as required by the manufacturer. Getting other people to tune your bow is a waste of time.
I dont have the means to tune it myself and besides I'd rather send it to someone who is more experienced in this type of work than me doing it myself

You can use any bow you want to hunt, if you go with a trx I suggest the 80% let off the 75% and 70v are more target oriented and the 80% is more 3d and could be used for hunting
