Vlogging has really changed over the years. So many genres and niches. But as with everything its in constant change :)

Yeah man, TH-cam also has changed a lot in the passed few years. What I forgot to mention in my video was that those day-to-day vlogs can be entertaining too! And entertainment can be the value of the video also. But I believe that years ago it was a lot easier to grow an audience/channel with those type of vlogs.

My problem when I first started was filming my whole day and using all the video, I realized a a year or so ago that to grow on TH-cam you need to film about a topic/niche/product and stick to it even in vlogging.
But if you did like I did when I first started and just wanted free unlimited 4K Storage for family videos than by all means record your whole day and use all the video. Never thought I'd hit 1,000 subscribers when I started out I was just doing it for fun really but now that I see its possible I might make money one day on TH-cam I am taking it a bit more seriously and learning how to make good videos that will get me an audience that is like how you mentioned "emotionally invested"
