Cubs aren't signing an SP until Sasaki picks a team.
My thoughts exactly
So in about 10 days huh
Flaherty just looks like the kind of guy that would stink on the cubs
I know right 😂😂😂
Yall are mastering the use of the sound bites lol it’s gold
I'm not a Flaherty fan. I just don't trust him or his health. I would prefer one year of Verlander and use a 6-man rotation.
It’s getting kinda hard not to feel jaded when we all know that we have Dodger’s money, and the owners are aware that we know we have Dodgers money, but yet we’ve been feeling very Pittsburgh Pirates like vibes for years now outside of 1 year of Tucker. It’s sad when you have no faith in your front office and you have to put your faith towards somewhere else “dear little adorable baby Jesus in the cutest little Mark Grace jersey, can you plz lawd plz pretty pretty plz lawd plz let us plzzzz let us sign Roki!!” We all know that by him only costing a minor league contract, that’s the absolute only way that we would be able to sign a high quality F/A this off season 🙏🏽🧘🏼♂️🇯🇵🎎🐲
Great episode Matt and Sam you guys carry the off season
Still need a legitimate closer first...
Like who? They aren't getting Miller
Closer please
@@czrad8125 who do you want?
@@jgphantombeatsScott? Hoffman?
Kirby Yates was very solid last year
Sam, great comments on Bartman. I think one of the most honorable things about him is he has never cashed in on his situation, other than accepting the ring. He could’ve written a book, could have gotten paid to do interviews. But he never has. He should be given a lifetime pass to Wrigley. Like you said, he did what any of us would have done, as 1 of 10 pair of hands reaching for a foul ball. Thanks.
I thought the umps should have called that fan interference. Yes, it went in the stands, but Alou had a shot. I don't blame Bartman because so many things went wrong. If I had to blame one person, it would be Baker for not calming the team down or going to the bullpen earlier. Still, Bartman and the other fans should have been watching the field and not interfered.
Well said, Sam, they just need to shut up about Bartman. It was the CUBS that lost that game, and the one following, not Bartman.
Babe Ruth’s called shot at Wrigley is maybe one of the most historic moments in baseball, and the hockey broadcast pulls out Bartman?
I’m glad you guys finally are talking hockey instead of the Bears for once. Hockey is a great sport to watch and more people should do it
I wouldn't hate signing Flaherty, but I would love for us to sign either Scherzer or Verlander for a 1 year deal. We have plenty of budget room this season to swing for upside and we have depth if they don't work out. Plus just having a veteran presence from a future HOF pitcher.
Need to sign Verlander so Kate Upton can throw out a first pitch. In the Summer.
I'm late, hate to miss an episode....Go Cubs!
To reiterate how we ended the year, do something Cubs.
We're lucky we beat the GB backups.
If not, we'd be the joke of the century! Wait... We already are! 🏈
I would love the Yoan Moncada add honestly
He carries the stink of the White Sox.
If you think the prices are bad at Wrigley, you should see the prices at Deferred Stadium
Am I correct about the rule five draft rules if workmen is not on our 26 man roster he goes back
Go cubs.
Jesus loves you!!!
How can they make a move (at this point) until they know the Sasaki decision. That may happen during the convention! I think the most cash cow teams are all in the running for Sasaki and why would any of them invest in the SP market until that passes? I would absolutely LOVE to see Moncada in blue pin stripes. He already lives in Chicago. He was considered a transformational international signing (given, this was after the whole Cuban sensationalized period of mlb)
Jesus loves you!!!
Thinking back to 2016,of the pitchers cubs could get,who would be like John Lackey, veteran an pitched fairly well, are any like him,
What about Michale Lorenzen? 129 IP between KC and TEX with a mid 3 era.
Jesus loves you!!!
He just signed with kc
He would have been a good signing
@RedneckOutdoorsman4life yeah I saw the alert 22 minutes after it happened. He signed for like 5.5-7 mil??? How were the cubs not jumping all over that for a 1 year deal.
@@stayclem4129 I know
Steve Bartman did NOT cost the Cubs a WS appearance! They were five outs away from going to the WS when it happened and they were STILL five outs away after it happened. Sanchez takes one off the glove on the next batter and Dusty Baker does nothing - NOTHING - to calm them down. They cost themselves a WS appearance and Dusty let it happen.
Talking about Imanaga and Busch being ranked on top 25 rookies of 24. But no mention of PCA being snubbed. That's ridiculous
I don’t think he’s considered a rookie anymore
Sam you look great
alex gonzalez lost us that game! alex flippin gonzalez!
What about kyle gibson
I can't believe U defend him
jack flaherty will good fit for cubs
Who do you guys like for a closer? Anyone out there who you guys like?
Tanner Scott
Jesus loves you
@@stayclem4129Jesus loves you too
Repent and turn to him
The stove is cold in Chicago what is that tell you
Total agreement regarding Bartman. He deserved 2 lifetime season tickets for the abuse he got. Any Cub fan (any MLB fan) would and has done the same thing. Alou overreacted which unfortunately stirred up the fans. Blame Gonzales for the subsequent error and Baker for mismanagement.
What a crap ludicrous sideline piece on Bartman, for chrissake. Very gratuitous and dumb, and irresponsible. Good for you, Sam, for calling out that lazy ass NHL production team. Hope we do SOMETHING additional to improve this team soon.
Batman didn't lose the game. Our gold glove shortstop botched a double play ball that would have got us out of the inning. The marlin batters wore are starters out by working the counts relentlessly thru out the series.
So why u saying Flaherty to the cubs fake news huh?
Jesus loves you!!!
Anything below
Use some prospect capital to get Pablo Lopez! Olay! Si!
Sam looked like he had it up to here more than once..............Sam you should stick to radio, do a rehearsal pre-show or find a new partner.
Why is nobody mentioning Justin Turner? He can cover 1st, 3rd, and DH. Plus he'd be a great veteran presence in the clubhouse. Hmmmm, no hit brujan, no hit mastrobologna, or a unproven AA player in workman with the potential of some pop or Justin Turner?
How bout Suzuki and cassie and triantos throw in Wicks and Mastrobouni for brent rooker he can be full-time DH talk about slug wth tucker and rooker
Jesus loves you!!!
Keep on him sam he cost us a WS vs the Yankees F🤬 him I'll never forgive him
Jesus loves uou
Repent and turn to him he loves you soooo much that he died for you!
You have to forgive others.
Go Bears
Do you think they will have to send Workman back to Detroit? I am not sure that he is worthy of the roster
We acquired him through the rule 5 draft, we have to play him
Flahrety really isn’t that good…no thanks
Waaaaay out of the price range
Just say no to moncada. He's lazy, and a sandbagger. Takes plays and games off. And is often injured. Yeah he played for a terrible team, but his character is questionable. Idk if he fits in our clubhouse
I vote NO for Bears coverage!
I don’t like these audio segments you making or you’re sharing that they’re irrelevant to baseball I think
Chill
Bartman and miss O'leary, Enough already!
No interest in Flaherty. He is not left handed.
😂

Asking for trouble singing Flaherty he’s not a solid pitcher.
FGB
That's because baseball (MLB) has gone to sh*t like everything else.
