- I hiked up to the Caserma Forestale above Montepertuso. There are various ways to get there. I took an old pathway that can be found just after La Tagliata restaurant. You can also take the zig zag steps signposted for the 'B&B Le Ghiande' in Montepertuso.
We visited the Castello di Lettere: pompeiisites.or...
Entrance fee is Euro 2 per person. Check times as it closes for siesta!

It is February 2023 that I’m watching all your 2 year old videos. I’m enjoying all them. They are all so relaxing especially with your voice over speaking very descriptively and poetically.
Nicki, it would be wonderful If one day Carlo recorded stories from his family’s history in the region. ... how many generations have walked those pathways and tended their crops. It’s an idyllic life to work with the seasons and traditions, one of the things that I love about Italy in general.

WOW, that is insane how the entire property becomes a cascade of waterfalls; I was surprised you could safely climb those stairs with the amount of water flowing down them. It was impressive, thank you for the diligent (and brave) effort to go out there and show us on video😃. That is indeed a perfect way of describing the way I felt when upon hearing that ordinance announced... and although it's been 10 days it's still like the freight train just hit me.

I love that you are narrating the way you are. Poetry is maybe the most touching aspect of being human, with no rules, no right or wrong, just each individual trying to explain, or share, what we experience in life through the few words we have, and the endless joys and sorrows along the way. Keep it up, and always do it your way. And I have to say, god I love Holly. What a dog and companion. Adventurous, determined, and loving life. If only we could all find the same sense of fun.
Especially enjoyed this video....it was clear you were in a bit of a nostalgic or sentimental mood as you talked about Positano in times past....about friends who have come and gone.I was able to feel your mood, and understand. The view from the castle is spectacular. I could sit up there all afternoon & just gaze at everything. I just love Holly. She's such a little explorer, walking everywhere and on everything.

Hi Nicki, I’m enjoying your narrated bits and of course the regular just chatting as you go parts of the vlog. I’m sure I’m not alone in appreciating the longer vlogs. For many of us it’s just a wonderful escape for a few minutes then we can dream about the day we too can visit the Amalfi Coast.

I actually felt I was there at the old ancient castle and you was my tour guide. Very informative. You had all my favourites... I love and enjoy your videos so much and the way you all are with your animals and your land. I adore holly shes so sweet, she reminds me alot of my beloved baby(dog) billie joe the way she is and acts like your own child. When we got into lockdown past march in los angeles two weeks after lockdown started he passed away he had been in my life for 14 and a half wonderful years. Enjoy holly and your other pets to the fullest god has blessed them to have wonderful people like you guys.

The landscape is similar to my island or most Greek islands, I love watching and I miss it especially, during the summer. I miss the sea.
Castellammare trip was very pleasant I enjoyed the medieval castle. The torrential rain storm was amazing!! It has been a while that you have not been kayaking cutie pie Holley she loves the ride. How quiet the shore looks and peaceful. The sun looks so pretty the day looked marvelous. I enjoyed your narrating and what you had to say about all you showed us. Thank you!!

Narrating the hike, stroke of genius. After filming a hike we did here recently - the main thing that stuck out for me was the audio - we all sound so breathless! We were, it was a trek.Really enjoyed the entire Vlog - the rain storm I have seen in Positano - at Fornillo the sea water was crappy for a day afterwards..swimming with things I never want to see again. It does look dramatic, but as you said - it clears. Holly just keeps living and loving life - makes me smile from start to end. Thanks Nicki - I just grab a cuppa tea and relax when I see a Vlog has gone up :-)
I have to admit I never tire of your grocery shopping trips. I love to cook and I'm crazy about Italian food. Were I younger I'd book a cooking class vacation in Italy.

The melancholy was palpable in this video. As we get older we tend to reminisce more and more often and long for days gone by. I am Carlo's age so I can relate, as I also live in a foreign country far away from my family and friends like you. Nice video. Storytelling at it's best.
