Dang! Thats a steal!!! I was really impressed with the machine. The brakes felt weak at first, but seemed to settle in. Time will tell. Thanks for watching!
I would defintly be interested in this machine for the price. I agree that they should have a plug to be able to power tools, etc.. that would really help sell this machine. Great option. Love your video reviews on these types of machines. Very helpful. Keep up great work!
Hello from East TN!! Awesome machine! Paint is easy fix with a wrap. Easy to do since panels are straight. Push button start easy replaced with a key as a golf cart. Someone else already did this mod. Would love one of these for my property!
If you compare to other electric RTVs, suddenly this thing is dirt cheap. 14K is rough, but I would love to have an electric as a second machine. What you think Joe? You gonna try to pick one of these up? Is the battery 48V? 11.52kWh for $14K is indeed a pretty decent battery bank on wheels alone, but would need access to that battery. I didn't see if you showed charging/where the battery is. I also can't seem to confirm what the voltage of the battery is by clicking around.
The one thing I like about it is the noise level. It's about the same price as I paid for my utv seems like more of a work horse. I like it more than a golf cart I went back and forth golf cart utv the utv won. One plus would be maintenance. Beautiful views on top of the hill love Tn.
Hey! One thing I can say is it is definitely not a golf cart. It’s pretty stout and takes the terrain as well as any sxs we have. I was shocked at the power…excited to try it in the cold.
Would love to have one, seems perfect for the cabin. Of course I don't want to tow it 650 miles every time I head up. I agree on the colors unless they are going for the family vibe.
Would be great up at the cabin for some stealth operation. At some point you are gonna need some wheels to make life a little easier; but you are still a young man! Excited to see this years camp video. I look forward to it every year.
I would definitely by one. I use a 36v golf cart on my little 6-acre homestead and it is super strong and helpful. Pulls a surprising amount weight. If I had to replace it today I would be looking at $7,000 easy. No AWD, disc brakes, no tablet display of all the vital metrics, no winch, no electric bed dump ...etc. $14,000 is reasonable and a value. However, no electric outlet !? Hmmm. Hope they listen to you on that.
Thanks for the feedback James. I am honestly shocked at how well it performed. I didn't realize any lack of performance vs. gas. I have seen it around $12k and for that it's a steal. I like the electric equipment as long as I am not sacrificing ability. Appreciate you brother.
OK, it definitely seems like it’s heading in the right direction for an electric UTV. The trailering was actually impressive. They could easily beef up the suspension to make that work. I do think the doors should come with a way to completely close them off at the bottom. I like the idea of letting air in at times, but that’s not always what you’re gonna want. Give people a way to open and close them and I think it would be a great feature. And definitely add a couple of 110 plugs. Not having to load a power bank for a job site out on your property would be a fantastic feature! But… Maybe this shouldn’t bother me, but I could not buy it simply because it’s called Kandi, especially Kandi Cowboy. That’s the most unmanly name you could give a machine meant for men. I think most American guys would feel the same way. Even my wife thought it was really weird. I do like it though, and the company did a good job with its design.
Doors are odd; but kinda grow on you. Haven’t seen anything like it. Can always be taken off I guess. And no heat; but my blind has a heater so as long as it gets me there I’m good!
How do those batteries do in freezing temps , will the cold kill the battery in the winter garaged , thanks Joe nice comparison video . PS can’t wait to see the Massimo 1000 video
You can't recharge LFP batteries below freezing unless they have built in heaters, this won't do that because it consumes a lot of power, too much for vehicle size.
You can DIScharge LFP batteries below freezing and when you do, they warm up somewhat. Many LFP batteries meant to reside outdoors have a dc warming mat on the side of the batteries to allow them to charge when outside temps are below freezing. There are normally thermistors (temp sensor) on the battery management system that shut off charging when it’s below freezing. If it is sitting plugged in with this nearly standard set up, the minor parasitic load from keeping the batteries warm is never an issue.
I wonder what kind of power it would have going up a 7% grade and top speed? I have a Pioneer 700 and here in Montana I can't get above 25 mph on pavement
I think it would do it well. I wonder if your altitude may be affecting some of the gas engines? Hard to tell without trying it. I’m not ready to sell the gas and diesel fleet; but it is a very nice machine to drive and the quiet is very nice.
I don't think it is limited to anything but refueling on the trail. It's surprisingly powerful and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Longevity is always a question; but it's been a blast to demo.
The key thing is kinda a pain I bet most people never ever take their keys out of their sxs on the farm. I have a 2003 gator and I don’t think the key has ever been pulled out. Having to find that fob and wave it over a sensor is lame.
We run a trail to our remote cabin where many times we go through long puddles where water comes halfway up to the seats in the cab and the machine is lifted 5”. Electric would be nice but I’d need at least a 50 miles range through mud and water. Also how sealed are the batteries to prevent water from getting them?
I think you still need gas or diesel. Electric has come so far in the past 5 years or so…but I wouldn’t feel comfortable being stranded on hour trails!
@ I think for a small farm electric is great. We have a lot of brown and black bear that use the trail. I’ll bet with electric sneaking up on them would happen a lot, especially in the rain.
Great in stealth mode to sneak up on wild life. Electrics not going away, as more found on farms, ranches and on the range. In time, the quality, ausefulness and price of electrics will earn their place on the farm.
I think electric UTV's are just going to be another option along side your normal fuel powered machines just like with golf carts and fork lifts. Electric fork lifts have been around forever and have been one of three options along side diesel and propane powered units. No one option is best for everything. Something like this electric Kandi would be good for use in constant short distance trips or areas where noise is an issue.
That’s odd that an electric side by side doesn’t have an outlet. Not fond of the doors. I wonder how long the batteries will last in after charging for awhile. Good demo, Joe. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
I would say it will do anything a gas unit would. The batteries and motor are weather proof but prob like an iphone. Some water ok; too much not ok. I don’t take my gas sxs’s in deep water or mud either. Thats just me.
I had kevlar booties that went over my rubber CV Boots on my Yamaha Grizzly in 2000! The problem with battery EV's is that a dozen years it will probably be dead and not practical to replace or rebuild. A gas powered SxS will still work in a decade. 48% of EV owners owe more on their vehicle than it's worth unfortunately.
I too prefer gas or diesel. But its hard to argue with how far battery technology has come. I had an electric sxs and liked it; but only during hunting season. The power of this unit is undeniable. I was actually shocked. Really surprised and encouraged by what the future brings.
I like the electric vehicle but...I will wait for future batteries that are more powerful and cheaper that last for many years and that don't start on fire. Gas is for me.
Sorry, No. My Denago goes faster & farther & charges faster. I mean for the same type that I have. I agree, this would probably be better if I were hill climbing with it. But, I live in a retirement community. I would love to do a side by side challenge with my denago up hill.
That would be a fun comparison! I was VERY impressed with the power on hills. Like, far more powerful than I expected. And being all wheel drive with the off road suspension is nice.
You must be sitting on a horse shoe. I just bought a new one a week ago and it won't go a half a mile on a full charge. Corporate won't even return my email or calls. Im going to return it to lowes for a refund. I paid cash for the piece of junk
Man I would 100% return it. Some batteries are bad but if you can’t get help I would make Lowe’s deal with it. Mine has been great, but time will tell. I’ll call it straight. Thanks for watching!

I scored on a brand new Kandi in matte black for $10500. I love it. Brakes are weak, only complaint I have. It can pull my trailer with a load.

Thanks for watching! Appreciate the support my friend.
Thanks for making. I think EUTVs will
continue to improve and I will wait. To me, the quiet ride is its greatest feature.
Hello from East TN!! Awesome machine! Paint is easy fix with a wrap. Easy to do since panels are straight.

Another great video Joe!! Best of luck hunting on the farm! I want to see this machine pulling a buck behind it or up in the dump bed! Cheers buddy!
Thanks buddy! Appreciate ya

Mr Joe looks like a useful machine
Thanks for watching buddy!

Great video Joe! Thats an interesting machine. I would totally entertain a battery side by side.
Man the tech is getting close. Really impressed with the power; gas or ev. Those hills are no joke and it wasn’t a problem at all
Interesting side by side Joe. Looks like it would be a good pick for use around the property. Good price compared to other UTVs. Good Video
Thanks Bob; and I agree. It's by far the best performing and most reasonably priced electric machine that I have operated. Fun machine!

Good video Joe. Looks like a good machine. All the best from Greensboro NC.
Thanks for watching my friend!!!

Great post. And excellent feedback brother.
It looks good in Tennessee but I live in Wisconsin. How does it work in below zero temps as I am looking for something to plow wet snow.
So far slowed down a bit in the cold, but still a strong machine. For plowing snow? I’m getting the strongest gas machine I can afford. 💪🏼
Found this by accident?..... enjoyed it,.. new subscriber!!
Welcome William! Appreciate you coming along.
Don’t like the doors. No heat in the winter. Like the power and noise level.
Doors are odd; but kinda grow on you. Haven’t seen anything like it. Can always be taken off I guess. And no heat; but my blind has a heater so as long as it gets me there I’m good!
Thanks for another cool video, but I am not ready to get an electric UTV. Stay safe, and have a blessed day! Donald
Totally understand! God Bless my friend!

Thanks for watching! I don’t know a lot about battery technology but I would think ok in the cold. We shall see; I’ll have it a while to test.

How about 4 wheeling? A lot of us would take through the woods and cross creeks. Through some mud and climb the side of a hill.
I don't think it is limited to anything but refueling on the trail. It's surprisingly powerful and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Longevity is always a question; but it's been a blast to demo.
😊 Very cool! Lucky dog! Impressive performance! 🇺🇸🚜
Pretty impressive for sure. Been fun to test out. Thanks for watching buddy!!!

It will break, just like my Mercedes Keyless-GO system did. Then what? At least my car has a regular key. 😅
You are 100% right. The key thing does get old; but I get it. It’s innovative, but I prefer the key.
Good news...Someone already replaced the button with a key like a golf cart. Super easy and cheap mod.

o d flat green yes ty
That would look awesome. I think they liked the suggestion and may do it. We’ll see!
Is the battery replaceable and if so how much does it run?
I’m sure it is. Most swaps are about a thousand bucks. Lithium should last a really long time. Battery has a 3 year warranty. Thanks for watching
What about water crossing? What about winter weather?
I would say it will do anything a gas unit would. The batteries and motor are weather proof but prob like an iphone. Some water ok; too much not ok. I don’t take my gas sxs’s in deep water or mud either. Thats just me.
I am with you, the color sucks and I don’t like the doors. I have three side x sides all have no
doors, I get in and out to often to mess with doors
Easily removed; but I would like to see more basic colors.
How waterproof is that battery? Would be even afraid to hit it with a power washer
I think it would be fine. Just like a gas unit; don’t wear the electrical connections out with the soap and water and should be ok. 👍🏼
my number 1 comp[lant on side by sides are they are stupid loud for what they are and price!
Electric is really nice. You hear some squeak and creaks; but sometimes you just hear nature and the wind. They have come a long way
I had kevlar booties that went over my rubber CV Boots on my Yamaha Grizzly in 2000! It would be awesome for our us, but it's just not affordable for us.
Totally understand. No cheap for sure
i realy do not care how much noise it makes i realy would like to see what it can do how about a load of chord wood up that hill
A load of cord wood is over 2 tons. No side by side is pulling that up a hill! Would be cool though. 💪🏼
Sorry, No. My Denago goes faster & farther & charges faster. I mean for the same type that I have. I agree, this would probably be better if I were hill climbing with it. But, I live in a retirement community. I would love to do a side by side challenge with my denago up hill.

Just dont take it thru creek, did you see where electric v3hicles catchin on fire during hurrican helene
No intention to take it through water; I'm not much of a water/mud guy with sxs's. They are for work and transportation. Thanks for watching!
You can get one of there cars cheaper
The cars are interesting. This is my first experience with Kandi.
You must be sitting on a horse shoe. I just bought a new one a week ago and it won't go a half a mile on a full charge. Corporate won't even return my email or calls. Im going to return it to lowes for a refund. I paid cash for the piece of junk

Not for everyone
Nope. Never.
