    If u build it yourself you will also have spare wheels, pipe and clamps; you can sell these mentioned parts to lower the cost of the build

    @Vital MX Hey, Mike! Thank you much for all the info ya always provide. It’s so useful. Your reviews always rock, bud. Anyways, so why you like the Showa shock on the ‘23 SR better? And, why do you prefer the KYBs from the ‘22 SR? Sounds like the best combo would be ‘22 KYB forks / ‘23 Showa shock???

    Test the 23 crf450we. I just got one but live Canada, so all I can do is look at it. Kx is sexy

    What did you think about the spring rates and when do you think changing spring sizes would be necessary? I’m about 195 (40+A) and that’s always on the bubble spring wise.

    I love the two bikes I have, so not looking to buy another machine...but the question still stands (cause I either missed it or it wasn't included), did you like the coated KYBs from last year or this model with Showa better??? I assume it has the same engine & port spec as last year, so which one inspired more confidence, and gave a more pleasurable ride experience? Probably about the same, huh?
    Thanks Vital & M.L.!!! 💪

      @@sdb92 I'm not sure if they would balance together well. I just prefer the initial action and comfort of the KYB fork slightly over the Showa's slightly harsher initial feel. But the Showa has better overall hold up.

      @@vitalmx Got ya. Thanks! Then, what about the shocks? Why do you like the Showa on the 2023 SR better than KYB on the ‘22? Thanks, again for your reply!

    If i had just 1 thing i could ask out of em, the only thing i can think of to ask.. Can you please start using black or the green xtrig triple clamps?! It would tie in together and make the attention to detail that much better! I feel like I would have to swap em over if its mine.. Id also swap the gold bling to the black or green style to match..

    @vitalmx would you buy this over the new YZ450F? 5’8, 185lbs, intermediate’s rider here. I have the 2023.5 KTM Factory Edition and I can’t gel with her. That thing is stiff as hell.

  • @slayerfan209

    I’m on the fence, debating whether to pick up one of these Kawis or getting the CRF450R factory edition if I can get financing for the bike and they’re still in stock a month from now when I can save up the 2-3000 bucks need for a down payment, there’s a shop in the town where bowel that has one of each bike in stock and I’m going to check them out in person after work and see if they might finance me having no credit or if they will allow me to use a co-signer. $13,000 is a shit ton to pay for a new bike but with the base models being 10Gs, might as well pay that extra money to get a bike that already has everything I could possibly need want to add from the dealer. It’s not too big of a price at all when it’s paid over 5-5 years. The monthly payments would be very easy to make, but I would pay it off waely😢 aisle I’d be able to drop 500-1500 a month if I stay working the same hours at my job I am now even though they took the per diem away. They just better let me pay all that extra money towards the principal and not the interest. The only thing I’d do is maybe get the suspension set up for me if needed (I’m not fast enough to really need perfect suspension) and throw a set of hand guards and my numbers on and I’m all set

    JBI compared the suspension on standard vs SR...basically an extra shim and Kashina tube bling (99% the same). Not worth it, id buy standard and revalve or replace with Ohlins internals.

    • @vitalmx
      @vitalmx  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We went over the suspension changes with them, it's more than that. But also not a ton at the same time. It doesn't take much to make a big chance on the suspension side of things.

      New Yamaha Power Tuner App
      The free-of-charge Yamaha Power Tuner App brings the power of the GYTR® Power Tuner to your iOS® or Android® device. Using wireless connectivity to talk to the bike’s onboard CAN-bus network, the app allows owners to adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing to tune engine performance for track conditions, record race log information and monitor a range of data such as maintenance and system diagnosis, engine run time and more. New for 2023, the app has been revised to be more user-friendly. New features include an intuitive “Simple Tuning” slide bar for engine mapping, Traction and Launch Control tuning, lap timer, along with engine and suspension tuning guides. Additionally, new lightweight handlebar-mounted switchgear allows on-the-fly selection of preloaded engine maps.

      New Traction Control & Updated Launch Control
      An all-new Traction Control System communicates wheel slip to the ECU, tuning the engine to maintain ideal rear wheel traction. Three levels can be selected: HIGH, LOW or OFF. The updated Launch Control System continues to implement traction control and now features an rpm limiting setting, which can be adjusted in 500 rpm increments between 6,000 rpm and 11,000 rpm. Both systems are controlled through the new Yamaha Power Tuner App.
