We have a Cyclone and the entire lamp matrix is out. I found the red and yellow plugs on the back box and reseated them. Nothing. I’m a complete beginner with repairing pinball machines and I have no idea what to try next. It would be easier if we had only a single row or column out but the entire matrix is broken. What should I do?
This was so basic of a pinball conversation on lamp matrix. Wish they would have gone more in depth on how the lamps light from the aux boards and power board., more technical for a diagnostic standpoint.

Why does pinball games use PIA chips for the lamp light matrix? and a PIA chip for the switch matrix for what reasons?
