Dealing with light matrix problems, using a logic probe - Gottlieb Raven Sys80b - Part 2/2

Work continues on this Gottlieb System 80b pinball machine Raven, but there's a problem with the light matrix. Certain lights are not properly activating. I go through the process of fixing some lights that aren't working properly. This video chronicles the entire process of diagnosing what the problem is. I go over the schematics and how to use a logic probe to test the circuit.

Curious, why didn’t the input pulse like the output pulsed. It seemed the input pulsed at a much higher frequency. And what do you recommend for a logic probe. What other tools should I have. I do have small hand tools and a Fluke DVM. I have a Gottlieb Hollywood Heat I want to fix. My first ever project. It’s got issues. Power up and some lights come on some flash and that’s all it does. Ground mods done.

Any recommendations or flipper/coil replacements ? Can't get up the Ramps no matter what I do.

Try to adjust your playfield so it's not as sharply tilted and see if that helps. Otherwise clean and refurb the flipper mechs and check the EOS switches.
