Salisbury Cathedral is the most beautiful church I have ever seen. I was there as a teenager long ago and never seen a more beautiful cathedral. Thank you for the lovely tutorial.
This was a very, easure to watch. Thank you! I have a church nearby which looks like this one and it also has some trees in the foreground. I can now try to paint it following your tips. Very helpful and entertaining, Doug. Thanks again.
@@dougjacksonartI’ve started this sketch was using “ rough” as a trial it was good til I added watercolour! Bah! My ink in fountain pen wasn’t insoluble so it’s all a bit grey! Yuk! now but at least could sketch the lobster with the correct ink! We live & learn! Thanks. Just to say I tried to finish it, but, used greens instead of grey/ black for trees & also did the lobster, both ok but, I prefer my lobster! Thanks.
Thanks Doug!Jam packed with tips and techniques for novice painters like myself,I’m sure it’s going to take quite a few attempts at getting anywhere on par to yours but practice, practice oh and practice a bit more, love your humour btw!!😁❤️
Hi Doug, I love all your tutorials is there any chance you can post your watercolors that you use. Colors not brands all though that would be ok also. Thxs

That's a great idea. Once you break down any scene into layers it's always easier to understand. 👍
Really liked this little painting, it reminded me of the cross hatching painting of a house framed with foliage. Hope to paint along soon. Thanks
Yes it is a similar framing. Hope you enjoy. 👍👍
