I love your approach to art. Not being too precious about the piece gives it a very direct expressive quality. I can feel the effect that the subject had on you. Very impressionistic. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great sketch! I love the minimalist approach but it's a skill that needs to develop over time. Some very sophisticated judgments regarding colour and its placement are evident. You do an excellent job of explaining what you're doing and why, Toby.
This kind of sketching and painting is so freeing. I’m new to both and I am far to ‘precious’ about detail. I’ve tried doing minimal but ALWAYS end up drawing every little detail, and that’s so stressful to me. My eraser works overtime. So I must try harder. Thanks for showing us another lovely painting. 😊
I like the way you used your pen to show us the movement of the perspective. I still have difficulties draw minimalist. I am to excited when I start drawing and I put everything (hihi)! Thank you for your cues. An other video with goods tips.
Mine is bit different from yours, of course because I strive to follow only your process. I enjoyed it because I prefer minimalist art, that is mine. Thanks again
If you want to improve take advantage of Toby's courses (some are free) they are amazing and you wont be disappointed cheers Lynne I loved this video just going back through everything thanks Toby
I love this so much minimalist watercolor - pls keep it coming, not a lot of this out there thank you for sharing- I haven’t paint in the long time and I’m trying to find my style and I’m not that good on drawing, this helps a lot
Hi Toby. Enjoyed the video. I’ve been trying to relax into a more casual way of drawing / painting and this will do that. Harder than it looks when you do it but with practice I’m determined to get there. Been “ frightened “ to go to pen which is silly. You have a great teaching style. Thank you.
New to your channel and urban sketching. Really enjoyed it . Thanks
Your are to be commended on your exceptional teaching skills which in itself is a special talent.
Thanks for sharing Toby.
I appreciate that!
Very instructive…..fast .. beautiful! I’m encouraged in the journey of minimalist watercolors
Glad it was helpful!
Fabulous introduction to this. I’m inspired.

You're the new Bob Ross.
Haha not quite yet 😹
Toby, thanks for your videos. One question: what pen do you use in this video?
TWSBI 580 I think :)
Hi, for the Bold Colors part, do you use watercolors with less water solution or the same and simply 2nd layer popups more?
A little less water indeed!
Hi I was just wondering what paints you’re using?
These are actually some very cheap Meeden paints
@@TobySketchLoose thank you! I’m brand new to watercolors and didn’t want to invest TOO much as a beginner 🙈
First!
😜
Thankyou so much Toby, seeing that I find it hard to draw a straight line this style really suits me and I love it so much 👏❤️
