On a crazy scale, the black based side is a 5, the white a 3.5, but I'd like to see them both at night when streetlights and headlights hit 'em. If Rust-Oleum starts releasing pearl paints, I think their stock will go up. 😁 You really should either wear a respirator when spraying those aerosols, or put in an extraction fan right there. Thanks for the video 🇺🇲
Pretty amazing what you can buy and spray out of a can nowadays. The Black was like WOW is all I can say. The Black gonna earn a 5 because of the color shift. The White was the sleeper in today's sprayout. I liked the subtle color shift when out in the sun. Almost as important was the fact that lighter colors seem to need more coats especially when it comes to color shift flake. What a great education today. I believe the White earned a 5 because of the knowledge I gained. Thank you so much.
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Keep up the great work!!! I hate that it would cost me so much in shipping. Otherwise you would already have had my car on the channel being sprayed 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
This one is definitely different. Nonetheless, it wasn't as bad as the comment section would make it seem lol. The black is really usable, especially for like a bass boat or something. Good job! Black (4), white (3)
It's different I mean it's rainbow so I get it not being everyone's fav but I had to showcase it just cause it's a rustoleum product lol thanks for watching!
@Tonytalks1980 yeah sometimes I just get a wild hair and decide to do something completely outside of the box and even if it doesn't work out I tend to still put it on the channel because I know somebody is going to want to try it and if I can save them time and money it's a win-win video in my book
Love this effect! A 5 on the black side. I'd say 3 on the white. The Rustoleum colorshifts have always been interesting. It say to spary over black but other colors would add more depth. Can you try Rustoleum Green Copper over Gloss Forest Green? Great video as always sir
I'd love to see what the rainbow looks like over a silver and/or orange! 5 on the black for me and while the white isn't as popping it still looks nice - I give a 3.5
I'd like to see it over a silver myself, only because SO MANY of my flip cars are silver (which is second only to white in commonality!) because it's a "base" color on so many cars (base models, i.e. cheap low to no options). So I need some inexpensive gimmicks for them to stand out.
Im repainting my car Rust-Oleum Purple with is flake. Try it youll love it. I also tried it over champagne mist Rust-Oleum not as good. I love this flake looks really cool on the right colors
I've used the duplicolor clear effex version of this on parts in my bagged civic. Did my laced valve cover my intake manifold and few interior pieces with it over clariot wine rustoleum. Got some vids on my channel with it. The dyc color requested video I made shows it
Wow. Thats a good match. The white surprised me. Maybe another coat of colorshift. But it stood out in the sun great. Do you think a Dark Gray Base would turn out like the Black? Definitely had all the colors in that black. Both sides 5
For effectiveness, I give the black a 5 and the white a 1. It's not my taste though. It is too busy. It might look better over a color like navy blue or burgundy to make it more of a solid color with a little bit going on
I give it a (1) tried this at home I bought 3 different ones and I would prefer the eye candy flakes and pedals with clear ,I feel like you Have more control over the effect and a better finish.heres an idea try this one gloss charcoal grey with. Japanese steel flake. By eye candy you’ll love it be safe. And thank a veteran
If you have any left over, can you do it over a spectrum? ROYGBIV type situation so we can see how it looks over other paint colors. I'm curious how it would accent it ya know?
Now that you did the rainbow color shift can you do all the other color shift paints that they offer . Over black and dark gray base . Thanks . Rainbow shift is cool but little to much for me just wondering what the other color shifts would look like .
I forgot to comment earlier! Dang I hope my piddly effort didn't mess up the algorithm for you! Ha ha ha. I give it a 3 on the black. I seriously didn't think I would like it, but it is not terrible!
I'm blind as a bad I can't see it on the White the black side it's not really my thing but it's a great job so I'd give it a 5:00 the colors on the wall behind the fender in the front the greens and blues and purplish colors those look awesome
Obviously temperature and humidity play a big factor and having your gun properly set up it's pretty inevitable when you're not in a completely controlled environment like a paint booth to get some orange peel and trash you can always go back and re-clear it or do what they call flow coating it but if nothing else you can cut and buff for a show car finish as long as you put enough material down Thanks for watching!
If you used the 2k spray Max clear it would look identical to the video but you can use 1K as well it just won't hold up to the UV long-term that will fade Thanks for watching though
0 on color shift. I don't like the rainbows or bright weird colors like orange, yellow, bright green...or fluorescents. It's all too much like Colette Davis girl car I like dark candy greens, deep candy reds, copper pearls or not to many colors. Earth colors with complimentary pearls look great.
Sanding off a bug is very easy when you let the paint dry. Trying to fix a finger print in wet paint is just silly. Always let your paint dry before fixing any problem.
That's wicked! I wonder what that would look like over a hunter green base!
5 on the Black, maybe a 3 on the white. Thank you for the videos, I've been watching them getting pointers to paint my old football helmets.
I like it over the white. Really smooth and understated but will pop at night
That does it. Im doing this to my 99 Tracker this spring 😁
That's definitely a rainbow effect, you did an awesome job spraying it. Rust-Oleum products are tough paint. Will hold up for a long time.

I actually have one mounted on the wall right there you just don't see it in every video Thanks for watching

I did this over rustolum purple and cleared it tired out turned out amazing

Nice effect Jonathan! And it’s out of a spray can wow! It’s a 4.5 Brother great job
That’s awesome for spray can!! 5/5 on the black side!
Beautiful. I'd like to see that on a red..
Rainbow that sure is a rainbow that's something different pretty good over the black
Looks really sweet over the black!!
Would love to see the Rust-Oleum clear used in a video to see the final results 😮😮😮
Same here, i'm spraying painting from a can to start, finish it with clear from a can.
Can you please due a colorshift or rainbow effect over yellow base?
I'll see what I can do so stay tuned Thanks for watching

Colourshift looks fabulous on the black, pity I can't get that sort of thing in Ireland
This is amazing!
5 over that black , the white once cleared was interesting curious on it with a green base would be interesting like them both honestly

Looks badass
White a 5 black 2 don't like the way it came out
I'd like to see what Eye Candy Persian Purple looks like over a light/dark base coat.

Yes a dark base would turn out very much the same as the black thanks for watching

Is there any way to prevent the orange peel or is it inevitable and you sand it out and then clear it? Thanks in advance. Love Rainbow effect.

I'm like the others, 5 on the black but was expecting more of a purple/blue effect over the white. 2
Man it looks cool but for me it’s a 2 just not my choice of looks great video
gloss black 5, gloss white 1
4 on both, but like most of these the light color probably needs to be seen in person to really know.
For someone without a paint gun, how would it look finishing off with a cam of 1k clea
If you used the 2k spray Max clear it would look identical to the video but you can use 1K as well it just won't hold up to the UV long-term that will fade Thanks for watching though
The black I’d give it a 4 and the white I’d give it a 2. Just not too excited about this one. Thanks for the video though.
5 on the black 4 over the white
0 on color shift.

Clear spray?
Yes it's pretty much a clear spray with rainbow flake in it
Sanding off a bug is very easy when you let the paint dry. Trying to fix a finger print in wet paint is just silly. Always let your paint dry before fixing any problem.
Yes your right this was just a test spray out it's going to be sanded back down and repainted with another spray out Thanks for watching
Meh on this one. It’d be cool on a model or something but not a car
