Let’s be honest, most people bought because of the resale value. Once there were too many resellers to make a profit, and too many people with bots or backdoor connects, most people couldn’t make money on the items so they stopped buying. 90% of people didn’t care about the brand at all.
You know that seems to be a problem in a lot of sectors from everything to skateboarding to card games to video games and collectibles. The resellers are ruining everything.
@@soulessone420 You’re right. There is reselling in just about everything now. Probably because the reselling platforms are fully developed now when only 10-15 years ago, mainly all that was out there was Ebay or Craigslist, and they weren’t as widespread. The resellers also create artificial scarcity in the market because they buy up all the product, making it more expensive for anyone that actually needs the product. That being said, I think it has become normal now and if there is any product they can buy and sell to make money, they will.
I am actually a skateboarder and not a hypebeast, I like supremes clothes and I actually wear them when I skate. Glad the hype has kinda died off to be honest.
I have the Supreme measuring cup. It’s identical to a regular Pyrex measuring cup. I checked. They both do 2 cups of liquid spot on. No one notices how cool I am when I cook, but that’s not the point, is it.
Supreme is just as popular today as it was 10 years ago. It was the hypebeasts who made it into the juggernaut it was for a time and then, when they lost interest, it returned back to what it had been before: simply a well-liked brand for people who skate.
@REJR90 probably because they don’t really seem to design clothing they just slap their label on products made or designed by others brands. A lot of their apparel is just generic clothing you can find anywhere.
Personally, I'm someone who found Supreme in middle school in 2016 when it was getting huge and have stuck with the brand ever since. I check back in every week to see their newest drops and still buy a lot of what they have to sell. Honestly I kinda enjoy the fact that brand is losing popularity as they really haven't changed their styles with fashion trends so I just get to buy excatly what I want when previously it was a lot more expensive or just impossible to buy from the brand.
I've been saying this and will continue to say this. Supreme successfully finessed gullible buyers buried under hype, and that success comfortably supported their sponsored skaters. And now that it's getting closer to its roots, I'm all for it.
It was a fun time. Exciting every Thursday morning putting a supreme item in the app's "cart" but then finding out when trying to process the payment that it was already sold out. I did cop a bunch of expensive supreme clothes back in the day, and enjoyed wearing them despite being middle aged.
Got to a point where people don't wear that stuff anymore just resell it, it used to be visible fashion. if people don't wear it as often then it loses appeal by default. hypebeast culture ruins everything it touches.
One of my friends would go nuts over anything Supreme. Even got the Supreme toothpaste. I tried to get one of the Smurf stickers, because technically I bought the product and he hadn't paid me back for it yet, but he fought that it was all part of the bundle or something.
Imagine how stupid you feel if you have all those supreme knickknacks that they charged in arm and a leg for. What are you gonna do with a supreme stapler or kayak?
If a brand like Fila and Champion made a comeback some time ago, then Supreme will definitely make a comeback. I just bought an OG Box Logo Hoodie in Blavk from Stock X for $300. I still remember when the prices sky rocketed to almost $2,000 for the hoodie. Trends come and go. But I love Supreme for their simplicity. Particularly the Box Logo style. Everything else Supreme is too much for me, and the exact opposite of simplicity.
If you guys have been to stores, box logos and statement pieces still make people line up and they get sold out in every color. It's just the bad designed items that sits which they should've never been produced in the first place. Supreme still has it and all they gotta do is stick to their sprit and aethetic. I do hate that it's mostly resellers that still buys all the stuffs for quick $20 bucks, but Supreme still has power to sell out on products that are true to their aethetic.
My whole thing is quality. I was booked for 6 years when all this shit started to happen but I don't like how now they outsource some of there drops from China and one of the things I used to like supreme was the fact it was USA made and I don't like how they realized dad hats
Hmmmm… this video is gold, and i like it… but just for the record, im not here for the “hype” fuck that, i just buy things and colabs that i like… Hype just make things expensive, and most of the time, i dont find atractive… But yeaw… keep the good work my friend, the video and the editting was just fkn great, gold information here!

I think it’s great that the hype is dying down so us skaters can finally wear supreme again

I dont skate but I've always been about Supreme for a bit and am glad to see people losing interest.
The skaters are taking back the brand, thank God
The great thing about being poor is you never follow trends. Can't afford it.
Fr tho lol wouldn’t even think about it honestly
Till you get some money 😅

Supreme is still just as popular and things still sell out every week. Many hypebeasts just moved on to other brands which is a great thing.
Yes 🙌 please all those who don’t want supreme no more 😂 move on and I can finally buy my box logo hoodie 😅
Once uppn a time RocaWear, Seanjohn, Phatfarm, Ecko were extremely popular.

i started rockin supreme back in 2009, prices for some of my old shit skyrocketed

They are still selling to late-arriving resellers.
A wise man once told me... once you become aware of a thing, the market is already flooded.
It was a fun time. Exciting every Thursday morning putting a supreme item in the app's "cart" but then finding out when trying to process the payment that it was already sold out. I did cop a bunch of expensive supreme clothes back in the day, and enjoyed wearing them despite being middle aged.
Never cared for this brand, but I was somewhat interested in the Raiders sweater they released a handful of years ago
I mean, their entire brand is a square logo on generic looking clothes. Who could have seen this not staying trendy forever? 😅
Just slap the generic emblem on any damn thing & up the price by 4x! 😂
I seen a few kids today coming from supreme with a bunch of supreme shopping bags. Not everything sells out but kids are still buying supreme.

so stoked the hype died off on many of these brand and now I can actually afford/ wear them
It faded once it was sold they had no clue on to persevere that vibe or culture of what it stood for
I’m so happy the prices dropped I can finally afford them 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did resell on Sup. Never wore it cause im not 12 years old.
But yet you wear kids shoes....e.g. air force ones. Lol, you 12 bro!
@@NinjaNovice I sold them ds you fool!
You wear kids shoes! 🤡
The nerve of this dude lol
I am sucker for the knives every year or lighters
It died when they started releasing box logo t shirts twice a year in 2020, before that it was like once every 4 years
Imagine how stupid you feel if you have all those supreme knickknacks that they charged in arm and a leg for. What are you gonna do with a supreme stapler or kayak?
There's only one Supreme thing I want its the She music video hoodie or The Teal 2009 box logo hoodie
Even the greatest fall
Hit or miss like any other brand...They make decent things once in a while, just ignore the hype.

OF mainstreamed wayyyy more than Kanye. Oversaturation of the logo killed them off more than VF.

That's fashion. In and out. It happens
It’s not valuable anymore because people started realizing it’s just shirts and pants with a logo status symbols die out just as trends do
bro nobody cares about the reputation surrounding supreme... rest is spot on though
Great video, keep it up and remember me when you blow up.
It went from skateboarding to daddies money and reseller clowns and stupid collaborations
funny thing is, theres reddit posts and youtube vids from 10 years ago saying the same thing so...
supreme is sold at pacsun, it will never come back
It lost it’s appeal to hypebeast/normies. Supreme still has the best skateboarding team.
The people who grew up on supreme must got older, brands come and go
Kids moved on to the fad of Thrasher hoodies
underated
Just don’t release for a year . Hype will be back 😮😅
good vid ✌️
Supreme was always cringe
I CAN TELL YOUR READING HEAVY LOL
Overpriced crap
Still supreme fans yall just hypebeast that wear whatever hype.
I knew it was dead in 13'
Nah supreme was defiently thriving in 2013 you're buggin
I am glad that I never waste my money to buy this rubbish.
Supreme was never cool. Only to hyoebeasts so that says alot right there.
Agreed. The suckers that bought into it early are suckers as much as those that bought into it later. It’s just a logo slapped on generic products.
Overpriced rags that's all it was 😂
Supreme was just a skate company it was never supposed be hype. Skater still wear supreme and they’re the ones that matter.
🤣 😂 Supreme is more alive then ever. Most of the stuff sells out within minutes.
Maybe so, but who would want to be seen wearing it..
