Omerta, is known as the unwritten code of silence within the Sicillian Mafia subscribed to. This entire album is an absolute masterpiece. From front to back.
15 years ago I would have concurred on the "Masterpiece" comment. However my tates have evolved. I let go of all my anger and Hate. I rarely have use for metal, unless hard physical labor is involved.
@@chrishansel95 ...I don't have much anger, and very rarely have use for the word hate. My love for metal has nothing to do with rage or anger or hate, it may have been why I initially got into it, but the main reason I fell in love with metal was the lyracism, and poetry in motion. Lex 'blissing out' to Omerta is proof she's a metalhead 😅😅 If you can listen to that and be chill, not necessarily angry or hyped (those are definitely valid responses to this band) but finding the level where you just chill out to stuff like that? Welcome to 'Being a metal head 2/01' 🤣🤣🤣
This was the album that got me hooked on LoG... kinda like how Vulgar Display of Power got me hooked on Pantera. Those 2 bands I can listen to none stop all day long. Must do more LoG 🤘😎🤘
love this album, Laid to Rest is my favorite track off it... Also watching Lex react to all these great metal (and other) songs makes me wish i could go back in time and listen to them for the first time again
Well this was a surprising reaction lmao. Not enough people react to lamb of god. Omertà is definitely my favorite LoG song, but your next lamb of god song should for sure be Laid To Rest
Taken not only from THE BEST L.O.G. Album, But one of the very best Metal Albums of all time. A Masterpiece, deserves a spot in top 10 list of all time.
One of my favorite songs!!!! So happy you guys reacted to it :) The song is best summed up as "snitches get stitches", but I totally had a hard time gettin gthe understanding my first time hearing it, too until I actually read the lyrics
Based on the reaction, I think Lex needs to hear more from these lads Watching them actually play is pretty interesting. They are one of the *tightest* bands of any genre I've ever heard. **Extremely** precise playing is required to pull this off.
In this episode of Brad & Lex, Brad vibes and more or less accepts the intensity not really maintaining his signature side to side sway. His sway is very tight as Lex is loosy goosy with the movements as she shows us her metallic hardcore aggressive bop.
Yes! Ashes of the Wake is my favorite Lamb of God album. Still remember playing the FPS game Black on the original X-box while listening to this album over and over again. Good times. I would love to see you guys react to Tricky - Excess.
I'm the result of what's better off left unspoken violence begins to mend what was broken !!! this album is pure fire my favorite song is what I've become
The entire Ashes of the Wake album is a commentary on what soldiers witnessed in the war of Afghanistan. Omerta is the code of silence that is enforced by the rule of honor. The silence that some soldiers vowed to each other under threat of death.
I just discovered a band called Slaughter to Prevail. Their song Demolisher is freaking nuts! Love when you guys do the lamb of god reactions, such a great band with a ton of good songs. You guys are great!
I love that Lex is so into it!! My favorite verse is "Mouth full of dirt your name is removed from the registry. St. Peter greets with empty eyes, then turns and locks the gate."
Next react to Laid to rest by them! They have such great bangers honestly! I just love this band so much! Also react to Now you got something to die for as well :)
YESS PLEASE DO MORE LOG: D Lex with the high IQ comment on lamb of god is underrated. For sure they are slept on a bit. Not so much back in the kiiladelphia days when i first got into them
Thank you I think they are underrated as well and they are certainly one of my top five favorite metal bands of all time. I play guitar, their guitar riffs are just freaking awesome. Every instrument and vocal positions are filled with pure talent
This is one of my favorite songs by this band off their greatest album in my opinion. I would say this song is explained in three simple words that we all know. Snitches get stitches.
Love you guys you have no idea, pure joy to watch you guys todether, cheers and keep it up...oh an L.O.G - Remorse is for the Dead is an awesome song I'm sure you'll enjoy. Peace and Love
Lamb of God rules. I was introduced to this album in like 5th grade. I’m now 28 and this album, and all their others, are in a constant rotation of my listening.
Omerta is the sicilian mafias code of silence! Hene the lyrics "words can be broken so can bones" or "cheaply venal stupidly verbose a slip of the tongue a slit of the throat"
The lead singer Randy Blythe, is a big inspiration to Tatiana of Jinjer. Earlier in her career she was often referred to as the female version of Blythe. She has since grown more into her own voice, but you can really hear his influence in her earlier work, check out the songs "Exposed as a Lair" or "Scissors".
Hey you know my entire life I thought I would never never listen to any of this type of music but you know what you guys open my eyes to explore different genres of music, want to thank you, you guys are doing a good job.p s 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I blocked out other music when I was younger and listened to mostly metal but nowadays I can go from Lamb of God to Conway Twitty to Tupac in the same hour. Music has become so much more interesting since I opened up to all genres.
@@MrPhooey442 Yessir. It dawned on my the other day that despite the differences in genre, the lyricists across the board are extremely talented. A lot of the time they’re talking about the same thing, but it just sounds different. I had no idea when I was younger.
I can't even suggest another LOG song, because there are 100 songs by them which already are in my mind as amazing song!😀 Well, continue with Now You've got something to die for🤟🤟🤟
Please do Overlord as it showcases Randy's vocals and the guitar mastery of Mark Morton and Willy Adler. One rocking tune for sure and the progression is out of this world!

Omerta is a code of silence. Never snitch. Omerta is a big part of the mob.
Thanks for finally doing this one y'all.
The mob picked it up, but it was originally coined during ww2 in Italy under mussolini.
"A slip of the tongue, a slit of the throat". Pretty much sums up the concept of the song. This is metal's version of Snitches get stitches.
"This has what beens wrought for 30 pieces of silver" is way cooler way to say dont snitch, in the end it's not worth it.
Look what happend to Judas.

This album is about soldiers, war, honor, trust, and silence. This album got me into Log. That was over 3 years ago. I listen to them weekly now.

The title song”ashes of the wake” intro tells all
I feel that brad is more into lyrics than i can recommend Reclamation from lamb of god. Its a masterpiece.
