Awesome, what have you smarthomed so far? I've kept it pretty simple around the house so far, main thing I want to do is get smart switches for the lights.
Very helpful video Cam, I didn't know that I can add this into Android Auto. So thanks a lot for that. Are you able to show or share instructions on how did you manage to keep the Meross wires stay in place on the controller (2:12 in your video)? I just pushed these wires into those 2 holes but they keep on becoming loose which prevents me from controlling the garage from the app. Thanks in advance.
Yeah the Android Auto shortcuts are a neat trick! Oh yeah so those are push terminals, so you push back on the little tab that's plastic next to the hole, this pulls back a metal clamp inside, push the wire into the hole and when you release the plastic tab the metal clamp will bite down inside securing the cable :)! It's just like plugging wires into the back of older AV speakers, or even current ones if you have a separate AMP. That should hopefully help 👍
Hi thanks for your sharing. I am using this garage door opener as well. And have you experienced the door only opens half way through the iOS operation? What is your setting of opening time and how to set this properly?
OOOh MYYYYYY GAAAWWD!!!!!! That is the dumbest app design I have ever suffered with, and I am a computer guy. I could not find the "settings" button anywhere. Googled it and after much searching, found your video. Turns out, in the current iPhone version of the app (currently ver. 3.20.1), you have to poke at the upper right hand corner of the Icon, not the bottom. Thanks so much for sharing this information, and sparing my sanity 😆
Ohhhhh mate totally agree!! haha you just gave me flash backs to my annoyance trying to figure the app out, and that my brother also had to search in forums on how to use it too. Glad my vid gave you the solution! 😄🤙
You can disable it for Apple Homekit/Siri, and for Google assistant through your phone. But Google Home will not allow it to operate without a pin, safety feature for yelling through windows is my presumption. Sorry Mark but I don't use Alexa in my home so haven't tried that process. I'd presume the manual might guide you through the steps if there's a specific sequence
They should Jeano, My wife hasn't got the app installed as she doesn't need to go in through the garage very often so haven't tested but would make sense that every user with the app would get a push notification.
Mate, I was searching for that PIN. You explained it perfectly in ur video. Loved it.
Oh it was so frustrating to figure out! Glad I could help 😃
Great video! Just completed my quick & easy install and it’s working absolutely perfect with Siri / HomeKit!
Many thanks!
Nice work! It's handy to have, I just used it about 4 times tonight going in and out from doing yard work 👍
Looks good, Cam. I'm smartifying my home with Google stuff now, so tips like this warm my heart.

Hey Cam, you made my life easy, I have exactly the same set up.
Haha mate that's awesome, glad I could be the test dummy on the install!
Mine's still going strong too, use after each ride 👍
You definitely deserve more subscribers.

What is your setting of opening time and how to set this properly?
Haven't used through iOS before but my opening duration is set at 20 seconds and trigger is long press 2 seconds. Hope that helps you 😊
I was stuck on the same with the pin!! Thanks.
How does work with nice robus 600?

great video did you find a solution to disable pin code on opening ?

Great video mate.
Thank you, hope it helped you with your purchasing decisions
bought this to use with Amazon Alexa but can't get to work do you know how to get it to work?

Did you install the Meross skill on Alexa?
Will everyone that has the app get a notification everytime a garage opens/closes?
