Mr Richard, once again you are one of a kind with your crooked wood builds. Can’t wait to visit again in a few months and see all the progress in person.
I guess it would be safe to say that you probably still have a little snow hanging around this time of the year. We actually lucked out this year I think we only had one and it was like about an inch
speed square is as handy as a saw guide as it is for squaring. a must have tool. saw a comment earlier about s stiches for the saw horses. great idea. I have seen them before some place but never would have thought of that.
Great job Richard, covered a lot of territory today including the storms. Glad you're safe around there. Looks like you are about ready to get the carport erected. Looking forward to watching the complete build. Congratulations to February's Giveaway Winners !! It's really looking good around there , thanks for sharing with us. Fred.
Hey Richard, if you knew a good blacksmith, you could have him fabricate some s-irons/wood stitches to drive into the ends of the saw horses. If only you knew someone lol.
I have to agree with @DJinFla Your videography skills just continue to improve! I really appreciate all the extra effort you put into your productions! Having to move your cameras in some instances 15 plus times to get a sequence shot, is nothing short of amazing. I speak for what I can only assume is many, how much we appreciate it! Grats to this months winners! I hope you all have an amazing week!
I've seen a planner blade that fits on those grinders and has three adjustable blades that a person can adjust the depth of cut with. Saw it on " Sawing with Sandy." I had not seen them before, and I thought I would share that in case you had not either.
Gotta send out kudos Richard on the truly professional grade videoing and editing you do. To realize how many times you have to stop, move cameras around, get different angles and then edit it together is not going unnoticed nor unappreciated. So time consuming for you trying to work on a project but ever mindful of your Subscribers to give us the wonderful videos you provide. #SMO #SmokyMountainOutpost #Smoky #Dolly #WhatWeDoin'?
Hey Richard! How have you been? Just getting ready for a major storm coming in from Texas. Hope this is the last one as I have tons of things to build in the back yard this spring. Well - my snowblower is ready and fuelled up so talk later. You noticed I haven't contacted you on E mail as the last thing I need is another tool. In fact I have given away a bunch . Take care and see you on the next video.
Bless you all, Ted! Send some of that snow up our way. The past month has been a crazy one for me. Were you one of the winners? If so, I understand why you didn’t email. But congrats!! -Jennifer
The recent rains we’ve been having here in the Smokies is best be described by local people: “frog stranglers”. Hard to get any kind of excavation done with the ground so saturated.
Richard I watched you use the timber screws to hopefully stop the checking on your sawhorses. I’m building some steps using logs and milled treads. Would it it help or hurt to use silicone or some kind of filler in the cracks to stop moisture?
I would use some sort of wood filler. You can also use glue and sawdust by packing it in. Then if you seal the wood with some sort of treatment weather is staying or oil that should do the trick
on your sign SAW MILL , to correct the error i would add the "AND " symbol " & " or just the simple add symbol '' + "for the fun of it 😅 SAW & MiLL or SAW + MILL or SAW AND MILL
@@SmokyMountainOutpost Hi Jennifer, I did some checking and it is TH-cam. I went back and rewatched your vid and had over 60 ads pop up . Seems it's not just me.

Great to see the progress. Those crooked logs will look good, but they can't be easy to work with.

Nathan Elliot told me I should check out your channel.
Well we’re glad that you did and we hope that you find our content enjoyable
Can’t wait to see how it turns out. Found your channel watching the timber frame build you are doing and I’m glad I did.
Welcome and hope that you find our videos entertaining. LOL, I don’t know how informative they would be because I’m not a teacher, LOL.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost no worries. I learn by watching then doing myself. I usually don’t need much explanation.
Great though i suggest you use long bolt and nuts for the saw horses instead of screws

Howdy Terrance!
Richard, I would love to shave the bark off those logs, probably couldn’t move my arms again after that!
It is rough, Kathy!
Those sawhorses turned out almost to pretty to use but worked very well.

A T square is probably the most used tool after a measuring tape

Good thing you got the tractor to move them good saw horses. They will last you forever.

@@SmokyMountainOutpost our dream is to move down there, we love gatlinburg area , been going there since 2001 , and love it . 👍🏻
I noticed your viewings have gone down to 2000??
Not many viewers on the Review channel. More people like action instead of talk. Tough to please everyone “majority.”
I wouldn’t want to be a tree on your property, because eventually you’re going to get skint…and burnt….
🇳🇴👍👍👌
Thanks!
amaizing job..perfekt details...talanted man/smart.

Would be a very enjoyable video/ channel. But entirely too many commercials. You had 3 of them while I typed this message.
Just hit the skip button. I do that with the channels I watch.

Do you know that they have attachment for a grander to take the bark off I've seen it on sawing with Sandy mike
Yep! It’s super expensive!
