I am a single disabled mom facing the daunting task of building cabinets from scratch on a budget. Your video is the most realistic for someone like me. It gives me a glimmer of hope that I won't completely screw it up. Thank you. ❤

I'm excited to see the finished product but I don't want to wish my life away lol. It's looking good you are truly a blessed man thank you for sharing your blessings.
Good morning everyone! Did you ever think about water catchment for the cabin? I have a large ranch style home and a double garage and I have all the water I need for my gardens and then some. Got some 200 gallon barrels and made the system myself - thanks to you tube videos. Just a thought.
Those cabinets are looking awesome, the 3 opening shop looks great, if it will do the job, I know you can handle it. Everything you do is great in my book. You take time and think stuff out, looks great. Ron
Hey buddy your cabinets are looking awesome and I love the live edge counter top... you're talking about putting polyurethane on it but I don't think that will hold up to the abuse a countertop gets but if you use clear food safe epoxy that will hold up better and will look great and bring out all the details of the wood
Thanks for the kind words! Were they from TH-cam? People that watch us? I’m really sorry to hear that, but definitely appreciate you reaching out to help support us -Patrick
Everything is looking great Richard. You really know how to put things together and make them look awesome. Love the counters and can't wait to see them finished with the doors. God bless and keep you and your family safe 👍👍🙏🙏
Your doing a great job , but I am curious. Why don't you use brad nails and carpenters glue instead of screws as it would hold (probably) better , stronger and ect. without leaving such an imprint on your final product. Love your show , John
Hi Richard you asked in one of the video’s for suggestions re giveaways , I was watching one video and noticed a load of wood at the side almost square shaped and thought they might make nice chopping boards I know I’ve seen you make em having watched you all a fare while now, also the big stirring spoons and cutlery for outdoor living. I know it may be a bit of chew on for ye as you have a lot on but maybe in the future I’m sure a lot of your followers would love the opportunity to win something personally made. How about also a metal bear or something similar just a thought hope it helps. Regards Gillian
Are you considering a cement counter top? They are pretty cool. You should just sand and polyurethane the counter top in theme with the rest of the house.
John 15:9-10 King James Version 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
You good work

Looks great. I wanna do red cedar countertops in my wifes kitchen some day.
Good morning SMO the cabin is coming right along R we have the same rustic view keep up the good work and stay safe God bless
Loving the cabinets.
I agree with Annette. The top should be attached from the underside of the cabinets. So far - great job.

Love it. That saved a lot of money!
I would recommend to screw the countertop onto the frame from the bottom up, so that screws do not show at all. Great job!

It’s interesting that we were concerned about the toe box but you had already figured that out. Great job!
Looks great ! One of a kind - love that you painted the plywood white

HEY KNOTHEAD! Probably shouln't do that. (Bonk your Head).... LOL!
Richard you know if you had not put shelf's in your cabinets I bet two dogs would have been crawling inside thinking it was made for them.....LOL

I would'nt put 3 inch screws in the counter top. Use your screw hole maker and attach from the bottom.

Very nice I like it! Fits the decor of the cabin! Looking forward to the door builds! What's going in front of the other window?🐈🐕😍
Does your mill have the option to use a winch?
Great video. What kind of wood did you use for your counter top? And what was the width of the counter top?
Pine and it was 28 in
Nice work! Question: Why are the shelves sitting back from the front?
Top or bottom?
@@SmokyMountainOutpost The top shelf is "notched" in. Is that just to make it easier to all the way to the back of the bottom shelf?
Yes. It allows easy access to the back of bottom shelf
👏👋👍😊
Just asking Richard which sidewinder power saw do you like better the Metabo or the Dewalt I'm considering getting a cordless saw
I spoke with Dad, he said he prefers the Dewalt.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost thank you
dewalt saw is strong
