It makes no sense to only put it at a couple you need to put it at all

The crime will go above ground then. Criminals are not becoming non criminals that work and have values. It's another waste of money.

Not sure what the concealed gun laws are in New York are you not gonna be able to carry or are you just gonna always have to show concealment license or whatever before getting on train or are guns even allowed on public trains/bus . Sucks for the women who carry knives for protection.
NYPD wants us totally disarmed, they want us dependent on them. We are denied constitutional rights.
When the Supreme Court struck down, New York's restrictive gun laws, they allowed exceptions for "senative locations". That includes the subway subway system, Times Square, Lower Manhattan, etc.

That's not gonna work unless those machines were built within the turn styles. The trains are already late all the time. Good idea though🤷🏾♂️

New Yorkers always complain about something. These comments say it all.
We have metal detectors installed at all our metro stations before the entrance and the internet does not work in the metro itself. This is the kind of security provided.
How come you don't focus on collecting the fairs barely anybody pays for the buses and trains these days worried about that

People take freedom for granted. Always violent and angry. Look how many gang members exist in New York alone. Every hood is the same. And people in every hood in any state complains about the crime but when solutions are presented are still not happy. You want the safety or not? Yes there should also be surveillance cameras on every intersection. You have the criminals and then you have those who are associated with them and will cover for them then turn around and complain the crime is too high.

All they do is waste millions of dollars millions of dollars for the Omni system that don't even work properly millions of dollars for the GPS tracking and buses that don't work properly millions of dollars for electric buses that can barely take the pounding of the streets
So you are telling me that people cannot enter subway avoiding these scannings??? How many stations are there throughout the boroughs ??? How many entrances in one station?? Come on. They can easily avoid these selected stations and get into subway system from all over the place....😏😏

some NYC highschools have metal detectors for weapons, they aren't that bad aside from waiting on line sometimes I know from experience lol
So many whiners about stop and frisk, metal detectors, did you all forget about that madman on the N train a year or two ago?
