- Hey In this video I’ll be going over one of the issues that are 2017 Dodge Journey is having this issue has been with the ABS and traction control system on this car. I’ve been numerous amounts of troubleshooting and it’s really frustrating because you lose cruise control when the ABS light is on. So after many different sensors and different modules and verifying parts working I believe that the issue finally lives in a bad hub seal that is causing moisture to get in and causing the sensors to short out overtime. It’s pretty typical for doctors to have some electrical issues but this one was a pain in the butt to get fixed and sadly you have to have a special code reader in order to find which sensor it is.
Front right and left Sensors

Rear Left and Right Sensors

Code Readers that will work

There is a polarity ring type deal on the back side of the hub assembly I can’t remember what’s it’s called exactly but that’s how the sensor measures the wheel speed
Everytime it rains my ABS, traction control and AWD goes out. I have to replace the ABS every time it rains. Mines is 2016 and only 30k miles.
Big issue with the car only way to fix better is replace the hub so water doesn't hit the sensor
We been having this problem but the codes we got was camshaft sensor a and b we had replace them same codes pop up but we notice the traction control randomly coming on and some times at lights u can feel the stutter
My truck has same issues. Did fixing ABS traction control issue fix the Camshaft sensor issue? I replaced camshaft sensors and camshaft code didn't disappear. I'm also going to replace ABS sensors.
i have my jeep grand cherokee with a right front wheel code c0034-1d that i have got with the innova 5110 to read and erase the codes (from 60 to 80$).
replacing the sensor i still have the same error code which pop up immediately after resetting.
i m assuming at this point to check the the wiring or looking for corrosion.
the ohm reading of the sensor is 670-690 ohm.
(i actually installed the old right wheel sensor on the left wheel and it works)
D4S yes!
Mine it was steering angle sensor
Good video
