Uttrakhand - Birding with kids - Part 2

Welcome back!
Our next and last destination was Sattal. We stayed at Birder’s Den Eco Resort; they have two birding hides on their property. Bird hide is an ideal place to watch birds with kids.
In two days, we spotted 26 bird species! Birds with different colors and sizes. While some birds are frequenting the hide all day, some birds are seen only in the morning or just before sunset.
We spotted Indian grey mongoose one day. It caused panic among birds. for about ten minutes, there was no bird in the hide.
In our Uttarakhand tour, we spotted a total of 34 species of birds, tested famous sweets of Almora, fresh fruits, and enjoyed green valleys and snow-capped mountains. Above all, we listen to stories from our homestay owners, chefs, and chauffeurs-who came from different backgrounds and have different perspectives on life. Their stories give new meaning to our lives.
