Just got one! and I love it, the amount of curse words i used just using what moen gives, then the one they sell at HD were trash. I have apartments i manage, i should have bought this ages ago!
Just used your puller to remove a posi-temp that would not come out. Piece of cake! Your puller saved the day, cartridge came out just as in your video… all of it! Thx, I get the rest of my Sunday afternoon off!
I had used the Moen and Danco style pullers. I found I needed to add short sections of 3/4" PVC pipe as I pulled the cartridge out in order to give the base of the tool more distance from the valve housing. Removals were tense and took a long time. I wondered whether I was in over my head as a homeowner doing this. I found mention of the ONA puller on another TH-cam video and bought one from Amazon. It literally took me less than one minute to pull the 1225 valve cartridge, These may have been the original valves and were very stiff to operate. The first shower's cartridge replacement went so fast that I did the other two in the house while the water was off. They also came out in just about a minute or so. Very happy camper!!
I had a Moen 1222 cartridge that would not budge, this tool pulled it out with ease. Highly recommend. If you have A stuck Moen Cartridge that will not come out, this is the tool for you. Moen Cartridge Extractor Tool for Posi-Temp 1222, 1225 and 1200.
I can certainly say with confidence that this is one STAND UP company, I know the team well and hope to see them keep striving to be bigger. I also love that the American dream is still alive with places like this, KEEP IT UP JR!!
Had a posi temp hand it to me today and decided to not fight with them anymore. Cannot wait to use this tool. I dont bump into these cartridges often but when I do they have always been a pain 😅
Thank you for the posi-temp add on. Those old nylon cartridges are always stuck. Flawed design? Ya but they sold several million of them. And the cheap little plastic "extractor" the provide with a new cartridge is an insult. Your tools are the only ones I carry. Thanks again.
My father has this tool, I've worked with him for a few years and have recently taken on the truck myself. I've since relapced a handful of Moen valve bodies but I've never had to change the cartridge in one until today. My father already had the tool in the truck but I had never used it. This video saved me!

Buy this tool. Only then will your life be full. I mean, for a plumber. Plumbers are the best. I know this because I'm a plumber. This makes complete sense to me...
Amazing tool!! I had tried to use the Moen removal tool first. The screw twisted off. Then I bough the Danko version and the same outcome. I purchased this off of Amazon after watching the video. Holy cow!! I even video taped it. The 1222 was stuck as if it was concreted in. I slowly turned the handle and it came out slow but intact. It was so stuck that I had to put some muscle to it but I won this time!! I don’t know if it is just a poor design of the 1222 to start with. I was thinking how can something be so hard to get out? But this tool kicked butt!! Worth every penny. One last thing. About 3 years ago I had a Plummer friend try to take out my master bath 1222 and he hammered on it for about an hour but finally got it out after a lot of sweat. Then I had another Plummer friend try t take out a Moen faucet cartridge that was leaking. He could not get it out and left me hanging. The best he could do was turn the valve off for the hot side that was leaking. I think a Plummer that does not carry this in his or her tool box is not smart! Or maybe just do not know about this amazing tool!!
I have a stuck 1222. The cheap cartridge puller only pulled it maybe 1/8". I didn't want to pull on it too hard. I ordered the ONA puller as soon as I returned the cheap puller. Supposedly it is arriving tomorrow. I am praying it comes out like how it does in all the videos. We have very hard water where I live. Even with the softener it still gets a lot of buildup...
I’m great full for this tool as a 63 yo weakling . I nearly killed myself last winter trying to pull one of these out. Now another one has gone. What gives with the cold weather? I haven’t purchased it yet but I get the concept of the screw incline backing it out. 🙏🏻
This thing is a game changer! Although I have to admit until I found this video I couldn’t figure out how it worked! The QR code on the package takes me to the site but there’s no video. And nothing on Amazon product page. This thing is awesome though!

I have a 1200 that must be removed. It was installed in 1986, so, anticipating a challenge, I ordered one of your tools. The price has risen a bit from the $19.97 shown on that vintage package... If this tool doesn't get the job done, there is no Plan B -- I have to take down a wall, and it's all galvanized pipe back there from 1941. Yikes! I'll report my results.
Well, I succeeded, with just Step A. Cartridge came out in one piece, without much of a fight. I'm still happy I bought this tool, so I had a solid plan in case I pulled out the stem instead. Excellent instructions. HOWEVER! I could not get the crank started onto the threaded rod. I'm usually pretty good at starting threads, even difficult ones. I took the tool pieces to my workbench and started threading the rod from the opposite (cartridge) end. There were several tough spots where it was quite difficult to chase the threads through, even with light lubrication. That fixed the problem, and it started just fine. So I can only give you a C- for fit and finish... maybe a little QC attention here.
Barry, I have used this cartridge puller form many years and love it. I had a problem with the piece that threads i to the cartridge. I’d like to replace it, but can’t find it anywhere.
