    DUDE! YES! I work in a small hotel and my cartridges are starting to fail. Changing out my first one and after 2 days of yanking, pulling, vinegar the whole 9 I finally convinced my boss to buy the tool. Less than a minute with a ratchet, nice and easy. Boom out comes the bastard, no more swear words necessary. Buy once cry once. I called the company checking to make sure my order was received and it was Brandon himself! I received my order a day faster than he guessed, American made STOUT product and bonus points for it all being in my backyard. Well done guys.. I can’t be more pleased 👍🏾

    Great tool, probably for the professionals. Just replaced a Moen cartridge today. After confirming it could slightly be rotated, I used an extra screw/washer on the center shaft, and a 2x4 and crowbar to pull it out. The hardest part was to shut off the water, because the valve by the water meter was hard going.

    I just pulled a 20 year old Moen cartridge today, I put a piece of oak against tile , put the flange on end of stem with screw and pryed it off. But tool he is using obviously so better choice.

    If by chance the cartridge sleeve gets left inside the valve body, does this puller have the capability to pull that? Thanks

    What about for the 1222b ? Do you still have to use that sleeve ?

    Thats a bad ass cartridge puller. The other ones r junk. That being said 160.00 is a bit much for a tool that is used so sparingly. Great tool though! If I needed it more often I would buy!

    What if the retaining clip is stuck? Any advice, I have very hard water.........thank you so much

    • @brandonseamons9642
      @brandonseamons9642  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delayed response - I have never had a retaining clip not come out. Generally, you can just use the tip of your knife blade to pry it out. If there is a lot of corrosion, you might have to clean that off first. Good luck (although I'm sure you fixed it by now).

    • @fit4lifelucky1
      @fit4lifelucky1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't need the cartridge puller ( all you need is a screw that fits and pull on it!) and I used needle nosed pliers to get the clip out.......since nobody commented on that.............

    Well there's no link on your site to buy the tool but there is a mention of it being $175 which I find to be absolutely outrageous.

      Would you rather pay $250 for a plumber, while youre without a shower and water for three days before said plumber arrives?

    A little steep at $160.00 . Danco makes a manual one for like 20 bucks. What makes this one worth the extra bucks ?

      Great question... I've been plumbing over 24 years and been dealing with these difficult Moen cartridges from day 1. In a nutshell - this one works better than ANY other tool out there. It is built to last. I'm still using my prototype I built 3 years ago and it still works like a champ. Its probably pulled over 200 cartridges. One thing I've learned over the years is you'll never go wrong buying a good quality "Made in America" tool. Buy a cheap tool - and you'll soon see why it only cost $20. Thanks for your interest. You're welcome to call me if you have any other questions or concerns.

      The manual one you basically yank the whole valvebody and pipes out of the wall

    I pull these cartridges all the time and I know how difficult they can be. The $15 dollar extractor doesn’t always work. I’ve been looking for a solution for a long time and I think this is it. Are you still making these?

    • @brandonseamons9642
      @brandonseamons9642  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I have them manufactured locally here in Utah and sell them all over the country (and even a few internationally). You can visit my website to see all my videos and learn more about it.

    There are other tools that they make, but the key to yours is "travel" range.
    Most others are too short.

    i can buy similar tool for $16.95 at home depot

    • @dkenmiller9829
      @dkenmiller9829 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Moen tool and the cheaper Danco knock-off at Home Depot have the same limitations. They can only extract the valve the first quarter inch. After that you have to use muscle power and the stuck valve can fight you all the way out. If the valve body is not securely fastened inside the wall there is the possibility of damaging the pipe connections or the wall itself in extreme conditions because you are pulling on the entire valve body assembly. This tool avoids both those problems.

    WTF $160.00 pretty steep considering you can only charge so much to replace a cartridge. I will just replace the mixers with a Delta. That price is insane.

    • @brandonseamons9642
      @brandonseamons9642  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ??? Your comment is as confusing as it is disappointing. I designed this tool for the professional - or at least someone who will use it multiple times. At current service-call pricing, the tool would most likely be paid off after doing just one or two jobs. After that it's just easy money in your pocket. However, If you are only needing it once, then I agree you might be better off finding another solution. What I don't understand is your statement of "replacing the mixers with a Delta"... Are you aware that you can only use Moen cartridges in Moen valves? And if you are reffering to replacing the entire rough-in valve behind the wall, then you obviously have never done that - as it is a huge job which requires tearing out the shower surround or at least a big section of wall on the other side. Anyway - I appreciate you watching the video and I wish you luck.
