So real tho. But let’s be real this might be the best saga yet. It was perfect… perfect. 600 strike was so perfect and had the best references. That’s the thing about this musical it all builds on its self. From the start to the end. Just think about it.
If I had one tiny nitpick, it's that I wish the fight part of 600 Strike could've been a little longer and had Poseidon say/sing something in the fight too. But I mean it's a pretty good sign when my one little complaint is just wanting more and the scene that follows pretty much makes up for it. Plus the end of the fight itself seems to be a reference to one of my favorite fights of all time from a video game movie
My only irk is the vibe of sorry for loving you. And I'm kinda the reason you're trapped here. In addition to this Ody says he loves her, but like? We never got an idea as to why he would have any love for her so it feels out of place.
1:20 I actually have a theory as to why they were singing a different part than the other songs: For Polites: he was saying “you can relax my friend.” So that he could loosen up a little so it would be easier to drag him down to death For Eurylochus: when he said “look at all we’ve lost and all we’ve learned” from Puppeteer, the next couple lines he says “let’s just cut our losses, you and I and let’s run” which could symbolize him also wanting him to die faster.

@LiviListens did the same to my sister, but my brother refuses to convert to epicology. He has a few songs on his playlist tho and i see that as a win
not the point of the video but the analysis of the start of 600 strike was very helpful, i didnt realize the bag was opened until poseidon said so originally
600 Strike may be plot armor incarnate, but damn am I gonna make it my life mission to reference that torture scene in D&D should I ever find the opportunity.
one thing i like about 'im not sorry for loving you' is how subtly manipulative it is. calypso never once directly gives ody an apology (she uses a lot of "i'm sorry if" and "sorry that you feel that way" terminology that shifts the responsibility and then also bring the apology back to being about her) and it's a great showcase of how ody must've experienced the past seven years with her subtly manipulating him emotionally even if she's not 100% intentional. whereas love in paradise is a lot more rose-tinted in her joy to have someone else there though we have small signs (pauses/dismisses him having a wife for example) of the eventual manipulation in I'm not sorry for loving you. this whole part of the saga does such a good job with indirectly showcasing a lot of the changes happening in vengeance saga that'll lead up to the super wild shift at the next part. i love how some of it isn't even the words - but just the little motifs and whatnot in the audio track you catch more and more overtime.
One of my FAVORITE little details in Six Hundred Strike is that Poseidan "singing" his screams in key/ in time is because its music to Odysseus' ears... its really neat
In the stream, while 600 strikes I thought "eyo, if I had known this happened in Homer's version, I would have read the whole book", cuz dang mr Jalapeño, how did u know I was a Dragon Ball Z fan?
not sorry for loving you = average irl love confession (with a side of depression) dangerous = DAWLING 💅💅💅 (with a side of depression) charybdis = only unvoiced monster fight (skill issue)(with a side of depression) get in the water = boss fight (with a side of depression) six hundred strike = jetpack joyride + fruit ninja + kick the buddy (with a side of depression)
So something I noticed and all my friends agree that didn’t make the cut of this video. At the very end of six hundred strike, the dropping of the trident fully sounds like the metal pipe dropping sound effect
@@BlueT1gerthere are actually two separate motifs! Ody’s motif is the two notes-three lower notes-two higher notes-three starting notes (hard to explain in a comment, I would reference it in Horse and the Infant but I don’t remember what instrument it is) and danger motif is played by a viola(?) in HatI (some string instrument I’m not actually sure) and the “seidon” in Poseidon’s name in ruthlessness are sung in this melody!! :D
@@blue_phenix1364 I know the danger motif and ody’s different beast motif are different but still im just saying the danger motif should be playing as there is danger…it’s called ody

No one to finish his sentence…BECAUSE THEIR DEAD
no lie when Ody said "cus i had one goal in mind"
my stupid self whisperd "make it back to his homeland..."
I need the entire scene of Poseidon getting stabbed by Ody to be meme-fied like the end of this video, holy shit the editing is so fucking funny
Okay, I don't know if this was intentional, but the Dean Winchester gif over "I watched my friends die in horror" is so fitting I cackled 😂
Honestly I'd be SO DOWN if you decided to do one of these for each of the sagas. Ur humor is immaculate!
SAMEEEEE 🥺
the way that during the end of six hundered strike i was that excited i was talking and ranting to my wall because i had noone to watch with and all my friends were at school (i got to skip for the stream)
The stream happened while I was asleep but it was school holidays so I just watched it when I got up. 😅
@SanicAdventure loll. It happened at like 12pm for me, so right in the middle of school (no on holidays here)
I might have convinced my brother to listen to it after ranting to him non-spoiler confusing details about it and he now has it saved to Spotify 😆
@@LiviListens LOL
@LiviListens did the same to my sister, but my brother refuses to convert to epicology. He has a few songs on his playlist tho and i see that as a win
The start of dangerous, where normally the choir comes in with ody, but it’s just silence…. HOLY FUCK THAT GOT ME
Oh no, now everytime i hear Poseidon's screams, i see this dolphin...
POLITESSSSSSSS MY BABY BOY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
not the point of the video but the analysis of the start of 600 strike was very helpful, i didnt realize the bag was opened until poseidon said so originally
Glad it helped! Although it's just my interpretation hehe
Not sorry for loving you Hits so different for me rn!
0:18
there's a pause bc that's usually when the crew would add in something... it's so sad I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY JORGE!
😭😭😭
At Charybdis my first thought was, "Oh, so we are skipping the Phaeacians".
i know nothing abt this but i clicked on it bc my friend listens to this
You should give it a try!
You could perfecly be like my irl friend, I forced her to listen Epic when we were doing a work (she liked it)
600 Strike may be plot armor incarnate, but damn am I gonna make it my life mission to reference that torture scene in D&D should I ever find the opportunity.
one thing i like about 'im not sorry for loving you' is how subtly manipulative it is. calypso never once directly gives ody an apology (she uses a lot of "i'm sorry if" and "sorry that you feel that way" terminology that shifts the responsibility and then also bring the apology back to being about her) and it's a great showcase of how ody must've experienced the past seven years with her subtly manipulating him emotionally even if she's not 100% intentional. whereas love in paradise is a lot more rose-tinted in her joy to have someone else there though we have small signs (pauses/dismisses him having a wife for example) of the eventual manipulation in I'm not sorry for loving you.
this whole part of the saga does such a good job with indirectly showcasing a lot of the changes happening in vengeance saga that'll lead up to the super wild shift at the next part. i love how some of it isn't even the words - but just the little motifs and whatnot in the audio track you catch more and more overtime.
THAT "MONSTERRRRR" TICKLES MY BRAIN SIANDJDNEJFOEBRKF
nah the last one was devious
We love a six hundred strike analysis
2:27 im that one literally i was like that when that moment start to happen in live stream
This was literally me during the watchparty kendndndjd
Charybdis had me ascending
No bcus I felt the same. This is the reaction the whole fandom had. Like a single organism
The alternative ending tho 😂😂
Just lost for "waaaaaaiting 🥺" and the actual ending 😂😂
One of my FAVORITE little details in Six Hundred Strike is that Poseidan "singing" his screams in key/ in time is because its music to Odysseus' ears... its really neat
In the stream, while 600 strikes I thought "eyo, if I had known this happened in Homer's version, I would have read the whole book", cuz dang mr Jalapeño, how did u know I was a Dragon Ball Z fan?
Anytime Polites opens his mouth I'm reduced to tears
the alternate ending made me fucking cackle! i loved this!
1:58 Odysseus didn't become the monster, he became the danger 2:21 then he became the monster
Yep I STILL get goosebumps listening to Get in the water like MMM *Chefs kiss* 🤌🤌🤌
"Calling their captain in vain" 💔
not sorry for loving you = average irl love confession (with a side of depression)
dangerous = DAWLING 💅💅💅 (with a side of depression)
charybdis = only unvoiced monster fight (skill issue)(with a side of depression)
get in the water = boss fight (with a side of depression)
six hundred strike = jetpack joyride + fruit ninja + kick the buddy (with a side of depression)
So something I noticed and all my friends agree that didn’t make the cut of this video. At the very end of six hundred strike, the dropping of the trident fully sounds like the metal pipe dropping sound effect
2:01 how do y’all notice all of these things?? I’m still struggling to grasp the danger motif
Ody IS the danger motif
@@BlueT1gerthere are actually two separate motifs! Ody’s motif is the two notes-three lower notes-two higher notes-three starting notes (hard to explain in a comment, I would reference it in Horse and the Infant but I don’t remember what instrument it is) and danger motif is played by a viola(?) in HatI (some string instrument I’m not actually sure) and the “seidon” in Poseidon’s name in ruthlessness are sung in this melody!! :D
Bro same
@@blue_phenix1364 I know the danger motif and ody’s different beast motif are different but still im just saying the danger motif should be playing as there is danger…it’s called ody
Oh gosh that's so real
you forgot metal pipe at the end
OH NO YOU'RE SO RIGHT
Nailed it
This is so true omg
1:52 Poseidon: Why do I hear boss music?
😂
That silence in dangerous will forever give me chills
I tell you what I can *_NOT_* wait for the animators to get a hold of the Different Beast motif when they animate Six Hundred Strikes
THIS IS TOO RELATABLE LMFAOO, GET IN THE WATER I WAITED FOR SO LONG AND IT DID N O T DISSAPOINT!
I see no lies.
0:07 😂 lol
I have to ask. Did you also think Jetpack Joyride at the beginning of 600 Strike?
With the wind bag ? Of course! How would he fly to Poseidon otherwise? 🤣
It was so wild that I couldn't help but love it. And the omnislash was a nice touch too :)
In my headcanon, Ody is stabbing and twisting the trident into Poseidon with expressions of anguish and crazed euphoria, thinking back to the past 10 years of suffering. Meanwhile, Poseidon is trying with all his strength to push, grab at, and crawl away from the Monster that he created
i cannot be the only person who feels so like POWERFUL whenever charybdis plays bro…
