I had to take off my loader on a 50 degree day. I had to put it back on today at almost 90 degrees. Pressure had built up and I could not install the quick connect hydraulic fittings. Check out the fix, loader float explanation, and a little loader work.

Well Tony, a few months ago I ran into this same problem with my backhoe. I took the hoe off for the winter and it was in my shop on it's dolly. When the snow was done I went to reinstall the backhoe and to my horror I could NOT connect the hoses. At first I thought I was putting the hose on the wrong fitting and this rather befuddled me. But then in my research of our tractors I ran across a video explaining this issue on another machine a few months earlier. Well I used a little less finesse then you did with you metric wrenches and took a brass drift and put it in the coupler against that pin and a light tap with a hammer released the pressure easily and low and behold I could connect the lines. But I found your video interesting as you had a similar problem and this does happen.
Thanks again as usual for the video and pointing out this little issue. It's not an LS problem but just the design of hydraulics that get disconnected with couplers. Can't wait for the next video.
    Best regards,
    Lisa

No doubt the success of this effort was based on those metric crescent wrenches ! Ha, ha....love to watch your vids Tony.

I am an olde grey beard who grew up on a small farm in Florida and I may have an olde tip for you.
Get a bucket of ice water and toss in a few towels and chill them. (you probably already know where I am going with this)
Go out there with the bucket and wrap those ice cold wet towels around the cylinders and hoses and that will constrict the expanded particles.
This releases the pressure. Trust me, those 35 to 45 degree ice towels will do the trick.
The objective is to get the pressure to drop down enough to connect the fittings again.
You can reverse the conditions with the ice cold towels. Best done in the evening the day before or morning at sunrise.
You can do it during hot days but it will take longer and you may need to use a cup to scoop out ice cold water to pour on the towels.
After doing this a couple times, you will remember about how long it takes for them to depressurize from the ice cold towels.
    Hope this helps.
Olde is how we spelled old in the olde days.

I can't say enough good about both of my LS Tractors. I take care of them, and they take care of me. My wife and I are talking about buying a bigger farm. If we do, a big LS Cab tractor is in my future.

That was very informative, thank you! I have a Mahindra Max 26xl, and I have to take the loader on off constantly through the summer to mow the yard and I noticed that sometimes those hoses were near impossible to get back on. The heat differential had never occurred to me.

Congrats on your 1k subs!! I'm not sure how much longer I can continue to make my videos, It is costing me to much time with no return and I need to get my infinite number projects done so we can sell the house and move. large temperature swings are a way of life here, 40 degrees in just a day is normal. Also Hydraulic bleed down can cause the fittings to not want to connect but you can usually get them on with some force. I've had to loosen my fair share of fittings...

Very interesting video and great tip on releasing the pressure. I am looking for my first scut and noticed the LS loader legs require manually folding and locking vs the Kubota BX series loader legs automatically fold & lock, is there an advantage/disadvantage of the manual over the automatic? Thanks in advance.

This is unrelated to this problem, but I’m wondering if you or anyone else is having an issue with the mechanical valve body of their loader controls? Ours have broke twice. Very frustrating.
