I haven’t personally tried this, but you might want to look into the Mile A Minute technique/method for crocheting blankets, making strips that are assembled as you go. Tracy from the TH-cam channel Crochet Rocks has some good tutorials on this!

I crocheted a king size blanket for us and it is so hot we don't even use it. The pillow is so stinkin cute! No, lol, it is not cooler here in Wisconsin. We are looking at 90+ which is way too hot. You mention a community page, where is that? Thanks.
