Customer Wrapped Rolls Penny Collection Dump

- In this video, I'll be hunting a box of Pennies that is all customer wrapped rolls. I got these rolls from a trade with one of my subscribers Jim - after he told me that a couple has been bringing several wrapped coins to the bank and that he has already hunted one and it produced a lot of good finds.
Obviously I was very interested and excited to do this hunt especially after hunting the last 2 customer wrapped penny rolls from our trade:
1st Box Hunt Video: • Collection Dump? Roll...
2nd Box Hunt Video: • Unbelievable Find - Co...
We ended up finding 2 semi key date pennies and 1 key date penny in this hunt along with many BU Wheat Cents and other awesome finds!
I am thinking that this is either a collection dump or an attempt to help out with the coin shortage - hence all of the great finds. As always, I'll be hunting for Wheaties, Indian Head Pennies, cool foreign coins, copper and any error or variety cents.
When I hunt pennies I don't just search for Wheaties and Indian Head Pennies. I also am not just a Copper Hoarder either. I look for double dies, error coins, and other variety coins that could be hidden in the rolls. As you know - it's rare to find a super key date for any coin in circulation, so your best bet is to familiarize yourself with the error and variety coins as those are normally not as easily spotted and you can still find some GREAT FINDS out there.
Of course it didn't take any trained eye to spot the Indian Head Cent that was found during this hunt!
Keep hunting and good luck!

How much for the 31 s
Just a quick question, Rob. Why didn't you scope the(2) 58 P for DDO? Some Great find by the way! Big like added.
JJ
Jim is a really nice person for sending a couple boxes to you Rob! If I hunted boxes that were THAT good I might not send them to someone else.
I've been watching your videos for quite a while but this is the first time I've ever left a comment. I still remember the moment I fell in love with coin collecting. I stumbled across 3 partially filled Whitman folders my father had started...Lincoln pennies, Jefferson nickels and Roosevelt dimes. I was 12 yrs. old. I'm 57 now. My father told me I could have his "coin collection" if I promised not to spend the coins...I still have the folders. You remind me how fun this hobby is! To this day, 90% of my collection is from coin roll/change hunting or metal detecting. Thank you Rob for taking the time to make videos.
Just found my first pre-1950 silver metal detecting. A 1940 s Mercury Dime
Congrats
Thanks for your consistency and passion. I think you could make watching paint dry fun.
Thank you for your kind words and for watching. AND BOOM! 💥
@@RobFindsTreasure Not that this was a boring box. Got 40 wheaties in a box hunted yesterday, but nothing like those beauties.
This is the best video Rob find treasure a 1931 s wheat penny a 1924 d penny and a 1912 s is one of the best coins of of history cool finding Rob 😏🏆💯
Great box. Crazy finding key and semi key date coins. Super hunt.
i had a awesome find yesterday in customer wrapped rolls in the bank! i found a 1909 VDB penny! i just cant believe that i found a 1909 vdb penny when its customer wrapped rolls! i'm definitely going to keep searching to find more
Wow Rob!!! Another nice hunt! I didn't get that many blazers in my box but who cares after finding the 09-S VDB. Gosh, with the 6 boxes combined, almost a full set.. congratulations Rob and I will have to send you a list of what I need to fill my set. Not many left to get.
jim cantor just let me know brother! Yeah - only a 14d and a 22 plain are missing - other than maybe a few teens S mints. Would be awesome to find a variety as well but the hunts continue...
Jim is there a video of your 3 boxes?
@@hapnation6031 no I wish I could have made a video. I don't have the means or equipment to do that.
Man, I'd flip my lid finding just ONE wheatie like that. These boxes have been incredible
Same here, my best "blazer" is a 1959 D. I would love to find a wheatie blazer
If I ever got a box as good as you have.... I promise you will be able to hear me yelling all the way from NC to TX. Super, super box. Jim has some great connections. Thanks Jim........and Rob!!!!!
This is the only way I can feel like I am coin hunting cause I can’t get boxes
Sorry brother!
Try for something besides boxes. Look on the bubble gum machines at your local grocery store and see who the vendors are, I buy their change by the bag full unrolled. I pay $2.50 per pound for pennies. Try weighing out other coins and set your own prices. Tell your mates you'll buy their change by the pound, they always feel that they are getting over on you, so you'll make good deals.
I have been cherry picking penny trays at gas stations lol. A certain shop put aside a customer bag of pennies etc. At work at the register I usually can trade in 50 cents to a dollar out of pocket for 1-2 penny rolls. Plenty of things you can do.
I dare you to go shops and ask for bill trading for some penny rolls. Eventually you will find a taker lol
Just be stubborn, bold and creative. I've found some great pennies including blue toners and stunning toners in penny trays and even an Indian cent in one. That 1979 Philly with the blue toning from a penny tray recently especially looks 🔥 They used to find it annoying but a mutual respect has been established at that gas station.
Unbelievable, enjoyed OMG are you kidding
Unfortunately the 1944 to 1958 is what is known as a resumed coin and are only valuable in MS+ condition.
The 1924D in my opinion is in VG condition and valued at about $20.
The 1912S in my opinion is in VG condition and valued at about $15
The 1910 is not cleaned, it looks like it may have been in tip or bus tray.About $2
All in all you made my evening, thanks Rob.
Wow, those are more great finds! I've never found a 1931-S in 28 years of searching pennies! Can't believe this is your third!! Congrats!
Awesome hunt Rob! Tell Jim C. thank you from all of us! And hoping he continues sending you great customer rolls!
Wow your so lucky...Jim is super generous
Wow! Another amazing box, Rob. Jim hooked you up for sure. Thanks for sharing, and have an excellent day everyone. .
I would be completely blown away to open a box like that. Just watching this raises my blood pressure a few points. How lucky are you Rob? Jeeez!!!
Man those Jim C. boxes were fantastic and a lot of fun! Really like seeing the semi and key dates along with stunners dating back to 1930 wow! I think Jim is having fun sending these to you, when the dumping party gets back from vacation I bet you will get one or more boxes!
Thanks Rft for the content, and thanks Jim Cantor for the awesome box! Hope you get more!
Wow Rob you got the coldest coin buddys.
Thumbs up for the video and thumbs up 👍to Jim for trading these boxes. These have been some spectacular penny hunt. I hope Jim isn't done trading with you.
Incredible! This is why we do it and kudos to Jim C for sending you them. Don’t know if I could do that, no offense! Awesome score on the 09s for Jim, makes me feel bad for the older people who turned them in, but If he/you didn’t get them, they would have just been circulated more. CRH’er for life!
I’ve always wondered what a nice steel cent was supposed to look like. And WOW! 😍😍😍😍😍
I could watch these everyday!!
It's as good as a blockbuster movie!!
Have a GREAT Day My Friend!!!
Thank you inspiring me to create a coin roll hunting TH-cam channel.
Very nice finds. I wish I could get those types of boxes at my bank.
I can't get over those brand new bright and shiny pennies from the forties and fifties that's really a book updater
wow....you need to buy Jim dinner...great finds, i'm still looking for my 1931s find.....thanks Dan
You’re such a smart guy! Really know your way around coins, and really good at remembering what’s been found in the past.
Wow!!! I love pennies. Great video
Thanks JIM
Love watching fellow geeks get passionate about their hobbies! Greetings from Illinois!
Okay. Mom n pop forgot their kid at home. So I am going thru the pennies for them now. Lol. BTW Jim, that was super dope n cool of ya to do this. A Gem of your own, and that's a good Jim!
Having breakfast with my 5yo daughter and she loves watching RFT.
So wonderful that coin collectors got these boxes!!!😁
Very good box, congratulations
I would pay hundreds of dollars for one of those Jim Cantor boxes. Man... another awesome hunt.
Hey Rob!
Been a while since ive got into a roll of coins! Im a young hunter at only 15. I have managed to find countless IHP's, Buffs, V's and more from ONE bank in customer wrapped rolls! The oldest coin I found that im still shocked over came with others. In one visit to the bank, I managed to find some mercs, barbers, V's, Buff's and some more...BUT I also got two once in a lifetime finds! I found a SHIELD nickel from 67 AND an actual 1830's capped bust dime!
This is exactly why penny hunting in Canada is so fun
Could literally get anything 🙌
Wow awesome box! I can't believe he found a 1909 s vdb in his box. That's crazy!! It sucks a lot of people can't get any boxes right now. I'm fortunate enough to get about around 1 box each week, just whichever denomination they have in stock. Happy hunting to everyone who can.
WOW!!! A 1909 S VDB!!!! Jim is a lucky dude!! But your box certainly wasn’t anything to sneeze at!!! I hope Jim gives you a final total of how many mom & pop boxes he was able to obtain!
I would be dancing (and I don't dance) if I got a box like that. NOICE.
Great finds - love those blazers.
Got my first rolls yesterday (6 penny rolls, 1 nickel roll, 1 dime roll, 1 quarter roll) and I found a 2 wheat cents. Today I was looking at them again and I realized that the 1956 D wheat cent I found is the 1956 D/D RPM FS-501, hopefully I can get more rolls next week.
@McCannon Vaughn Thanks!
I get home an bam a video from Rob...Yay Yay. I finally got me a box of pennies today.
NICE! hope there are some goodies in it brother!
Congratulations on the 1912-s, I only need the 1909-s vdb and my collection will be complete. Good luck!
All hail the mighty "JIM"!You are the penny KING!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Awesome finds.....Wheaties, the pennies of champions.
That was fun !
Thanks
Emileg2
Excellent finds on the coins Rob- especially that 1912-S and 1930 blazer. My greatest find coin roll hunting pennies would have to be an 1856 flying eagle cent. I saved that sucker in a heartbeat. One of my personal favorite cents ever.
legendary box...congrats! I couldn't imagine finding a '31 s...wowzers!!
So amazing! Crushed the like button!👍😎
Thank you Rob for posting, I need something to alleviate my hunger for coins while I can't get boxes.
I found my first W quarter last week
Customer wraps are the way to go! Right before Christmas I ran into a dump ...I got a 09 VDB and others
Awesome box
Another great penny hunt. I only get to hunt a few rolls at a time here but I have found a steel cent and some older wheaties with a few shiny 60's and 70's. Can't wait for your next box hunt.
Holy Cow!! That 1909 S vdb had to have been at least XF. Edit - 31S and 12S WOW!!!!!!! Edit 2 - and the 24D. If I bought a "unsearched" on eBay and got any of the 12S, the 24D and the 31S in it I would have been totally happy and would have raved ++++ on my feedback.
I KNOW! NUTS! I would have died - right then and right there. Glad he got that box (ish).
I bought a bag off of eBay. “Unsearched” I found 18 Indian head cents including an 1899 in AU condition, an 1867, 25 1909 VDB, including one in XF condition. A few each of 1911D 1912D & 1912S 2 1914S, several each of the 1915, 1915D & 1915S a RED 1916S, & many other mintmarked mid & late 1910’s, a few each of the 1922D & 1924D, & many many other better dates & early mintmarks. You can get lucky man, there’s a few good bags left out there.
@John Yonker what did you pay for the box? Remember spotty and cleans IHP are all G4 condition.
William findspennies Most of the Indian Heads were G-VG condition but definitely more than the small amount I paid per coin. I got the 5,000 or so bag, I think there was a little more but I didn’t count them. For 300 dollars.
Bingo Bango - those were some great finds. Makes me wonder if the "supplier" who wrapped these rolls has any idea of what the coins really are. The good thing is that these beautiful coins (and the key date coins) are finding a new home to be preserved. Thanks Rob for sharing the hunt. Seeing these stunners makes me believe there are plenty more out there waiting for a new home.
What an absolutely incredible hunt. Congratulations
The 1909 S VDB at the start looks like the S was added on. The style is off. Still at least a 1909 VDB though so it’s a super good find by him!
there's GOLD in them there rolls!
Not literal gold, but I assume this is worth as much as gold, lol
Man, I'd love to get my hands on one of those boxes, almost every roll has finds in it. I wouldn't care if I couldn't keep any of the finds either, just looking through them would be awesome. Lucky guy!
I can't wait to see what is in this box!!
What a dream box. I could only dream that I would get a box like this. Great finds. 😊
Great to see all the wonderful finds in the Cantor Customer Rolled Boxes! Makes for great videos. We need stuff like this during COVID times......makes us feel good! A little toooo coincidental though.
You're killing it man! Good stuff. Home of the blazers 😎
Another good box! I can’t wait to get my hands on a penny box!
That unbelievable rob! The last time I got customer rapped was like 9 months ago🙁
That was fun!, those boxes don’t come along very often,or at all right. I hope you get more. Good luck!
Holy cow Rob, unbelievable 😳 how nice those shiny's are, that 1930 is in crazy good condition & that 1931-s amazing, congrats on the finds brother👍
Man I need some sunglasses, cause those shiny pennies are blazin'! 😎
That was an awesome box, those blazers are beautiful!!!
I don’t even know what to say, another EPIC box Rob!
Great video and always a highlight of my evening after logging off of work. Not a coin collector myself really but I love your videos and this cool community you have here.
Funny thing: I have a 1924 s and a 1926 d, but I keep mixing up the mintmarks on accident and keep thinking I have a semi key. Still decent dates, but not as good as the semi keys.
Jim is the man!
Congrats on the upgrades, those are sweet
This would have been an epic box for your album & fill series!
rob you should wear your white glove
thanks for the awesome videos good luck on your hunts
Awesome finds. Always enjoy your videos. 😎👍
That was another awesome penny hunt Rob thanks for sharing, it would have been really awesome if that steal cent was a 1944.
@robfindstreasure I found my grandparents old collection and I almost filled in a the same book you have, and the Indian head cent one! Always fun hunting coins🤙
Waiting for one of these boxes to have a 22 plain in it...
All of these pristine wheat, its like its Iowa.
My best customer wrapped find was a BU 1944s silver war nickel.
Sweet hunt, some great finds, congrats
Great finds!! I wonder if the people dropping off these boxes have any other coins like half dollar!!!
If I could I would buy some of those stunners off ya , some good find wow!
Wow, what a box! Only thing not in there is a 1955 DDO in MS65! Either Jim is spiking these boxes or the older couple has been saving pennies forever and really is turning them in???
Awesome finds once again! Was hoping to the upgrades get into the book😊
Holy cow! U could probably fill up two albums just from two boxes from him
Holy cow Rob... so many cool finds!! 😁😁😁
wow what a box....
What do you mean when you say re-manufactured in regards to the steel cent?
Hey Rob, I happened to finally get a 31S for my album. I paid 75 for it, nice VF grade.
holy cow thats a lot of blazers!
What an amazing box! How can I get a box!? 😃 great finds and I can't believe how many were in that box. Thanks for sharing!
Great channel and videos! Please show us how you have your microscope hooked up to your computer. I want to buy one..
