The 1911 is the most numerous of all the V Nicks. I found one in a slot machine drop at the Hard Rock Casino back in 2005. It was my first and only V Nick.
Congratulations on your third found liberty head nickel and the 1913 T2 buffalo nickel. The 1947 is a beauty. 19 is also a great find. And who can forget 3 silver Jeffersons. Thanks for sharing👍🏻👍🏻
Nickel hunts are my absolute fav! They're the easiest (and cheapest!) to hunt here in Canada, it's hard to find much earlier than 50's but sometimes you get lucky. I've actually found some old Jefferson nickels across my hunts as well. Great vid!
@@sliver770 yeah! I feel your pain man. The biggest issue is that the Royal Canadian Mint takes a good amount of old coins out of circulation each year and melts them for their metal content value! It's a race against the clock for us to scoop all the old coins we can.
I know they murder the penny the most, I see it on the site, but how would they find the oldies. My best score was 20 rolls out of 50 customer wrapped rolls full of 50-90S
@@sliver770 I'm not sure they find them exactly, but since all Canadian nickels 1981 and older are 99.9% pure Ni metal, which gives them a melt value of over twice their face value (I believe about $0.12 CAD each) its profitable for the govt. to melt them down. Same goes for silver coins, of course.
I just hunted a single box of pennies, and, I got Two 1941 Philadelphia, one 1948 San Francisco, one 1950 San Francisco, on 1951 San Francisco, one 1953 Denver, two 1957 Denver, one 1958 Denver. WOW! What an exciting hunt Rob! You got the trifecta! Silver, buffaloes, and a V nickel! Not to mention the semi keys! That was a lot of fun to watch! Thanks Rob!
Those would have been some cool boxes for the box battles. Congrats on all the cool finds that 1913 type 2 and V nickel are defiantly the finds of the box.
What...? You didn't even pull a single planchet?! LOL! You were crushing it with these boxes, Rob. Way to go, brother! "Ain't no mountain hiiigh enough!"
Holy Mac n Cheese those were some great finds Rob. Very exciting to get a V nickel. On top of that, some war nickels and some Buffaloes. Thank you for sharing it with us, look forward to the next CRH video and of course the live streams!
Nice finds with the V, Buffalos and the war nickels. I like to comment on what a nice job you do at editing your videos before you post them. They are very well done. Keep up the good work.
I hope that's a 13! My grandmother gave me a batch of coins when I first got into numismatics, and in that batch is a mint state(from what I can tell, I'm not a professional grader by any means) 1913 d type 2!
Awesome hunt, Rob! Coincidentally I found a 1911 V nickel at work just a couple days ago! You’re making me jealous with all those buffalos, though. BOOM
