    *Meaning*
This is a famous Abhang, in which Sant Eknath refers to Pandharpur as his “maher” or “mother’s home,” also known as the “maika” and the Chandrabhaga as his sister.
Married Indian women are said to talk about their mother’s home as a place of love, rest, and relaxation. In the Abhangas, Vitthal himself is often referred to in the feminine, as the Divine Mother.
An abhang, when sung, said my friend, should make the blood race. This is blood racing excellence.
    *About Aruna Sairam*
Aruna Sairam (Padma Shri) is a Carnatic vocalist, composer, collaborator, humanitarian, and speaker. In addition to her performances in India, Aruna has taken Carnatic music to the global arena, at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. Currently Vice Chairperson of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi, she was appointed in 2008 by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu as Advisor to the Department of Culture. Aruna works towards the musical education of underprivileged students, through the Nadayogam Trust, which she founded in 2011. Aruna is grateful for the training she received under her mother Rajalakshmi Sethuraman and the legendary T. Brinda, and the mentorship from several masters throughout her musical journey. Her music erased geographic borders when she was the first to incorporate Abhang, a Western Indian musical form, into a traditional, South Indian concert.

Hindu spiritual richness is limitless, different forms, from a rural folk to a pandit ,the inner strength of spiritual belief, flowing timelessly. Pramanams padabhi vandan to the keepers of the spiritual consciousness timelessly from the rishis ,saints, and present conscious keepers in different ways🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹

Pl check out Pandhari che bhoot mothe by Ranjani and Gayatri..
Ra Ga and AS grew up in Matungam and heard these abhangs while growing up. They are very comfy singing these abhangs. MS Subbulakshmi has sung Baare Pandurang and Hari bola reheta.

Abhangs was brought to Tamil Nadu at the time of Sambhaji rule which included Tanjote. We preserved not only Abhangs, Harikatha as Katha Kalakshepam, Yathra called Jatha Nama sangeerthana. A learned community of brahmins still thrive in TN. There were a Pande as MP. They call themselves as Tamils with Mother tongue as Tamil. We donot use language to discriminate. Telugus are 10% of TN even they say their mother tongue as Tamil. Our Grand father of Carnatic music is Purndare Vitta. Data and lived in Hampi, Vijayanagara Empire.
