Lucky you! I lived in Madras and attended their Kutcheries as I lived in Cultural capital Mylapore... I so wanted to hear this particular Abhang from them but couldn't!

This "Abhang" is a very important part of daily worship of "Warkari" sect here in Maharashtra,it is full of Love and unmatched description of Sriman-narayana's divine beauty....Both sisters heve sung it beautifully,and their songs make u fall in love with Carnatic "ISAI"......(I HOPE I SPELL IT CORRECTLY)

Meaning of the song, looking at the roopa (beauty) of Vitthala Madhava I got sukha (happiness, bliss) such beautiful is the Vitthala Madhava,
We get fond of Vitthala as a fruit when good deeds (sukruta) come together in bulk,
abode of all the bliss is the baaparakhumadevivaru- my father- husband of Raukmini i.e. Lord Vitthala (baaparakhumadevivaru is the signature of Saint Dnyaneshwara)

Oh my god. This is what I call eternal bliss. Ranjani and Gayathri you extend the bliss(divine experience) to everyone listening to your singing. The purpose of music is overwhelmingly fulfilled. Your voice modulation is amazing and that should certainly be attributed to your rigorous practice of hindustani style as well. But very few are capable of handling both carnatic and hindustani in a balanced way. Hats of to you.

One day in 2010 I came across this Abhang while studying in Chidambaram.... First time got familiar with both this Abhang n Sau Ranjani Sau Gayatri taai.... Both became my most favorite...
Then I moved to Mylapore where Carnatic kutcheries r common n in 2017 I got a golden chance to meet both Taais n have a pic with Sau Gayatri Taai ☺❤
Its 2023 now.... Still listening.... 🎉

You can attend their sabha n meet them. They r so kind n down to earth Artists. I've met them, took pic wid Gayatri taai n they talk in Marathi very well 😊

There are so many sweet, divine voices here in our country. But they can't come forward coz of so called well established voices. But one thing is crystal clear that the fire can't be hidden due to ash. A little wind enlightenes the fire. Same is here. Thanks a lot for such sweet Abhangas with divine voices.

I have listened both this Abhang and Maru Bihag several times, But the way these girls have rendered and for ten mts without disturbing the theme and aesthetics of the composition, I am moved to say the least. Although, as per my little hearing habit, i think the girls have followed the Marubihag at beginning and end, took liberty in middle and deviated may be technically. It did't matter at all. Particularly when singing sum" their perfect sync and with feeble force can only be said Lajawab

song, rendition is very nice. Accomplished Karnataki Singers, are equally at ease with Hindustani style rendition. The tabla play is of superior quality, melodious and lot of subtle variations thrown in enhances the music so much. Please mention who the player is. Please keep singing more Hindustani Abhangs!!
