The Macbeth Suite (Reorchestrated and Remastered) by John J. Apanovitch

Three years ago today, I made my conducting video of my Macbeth Suite that I composed for the English classes that I was observing. I remember attempting to write an overture to it, but I really didn't like the way it turned out. The transitions were too quick (although I do still have that attempted overture saved). So, while in one of the classes, I took a piece of paper, and I wrote 4 titles. Looking at those titles, I knew that those would be the 4 movements to my suite. They mark 4 very important parts of the story. Over that weekend in November, I wrote it. It took me only about 3 and a half days to write it. On Monday the following week, I presented it to the classes remotely, asking them to listen to the music, and imagine what was going on. They then provided feedback as to what they heard, and their own takes on how the music relates to those 4 sections. I think the following week, I had a project in my main class that had us presenting a project for a subject in school. The subject I chose was music, of course. I played the first two movements of the suite, and just explained a bit about the other two. Now, the thing about this piece is that it was done...but not fully. It was mostly empty in some parts. I wanted to write it just enough for the classes to get an understanding of the music, straight to the point. So, earlier this year in April, I decided to create my second fully remastered piece. I picked The Macbeth Suite. Over that weekend, I spent a lot of time and effort writing it, and adding much more to it. Essentially, it was fully orchestrated and remastered. And now, three years after the original conducting premiere, I give the conducting premiere of this remastered and fully orchestrated version of The Macbeth Suite. This is also the longest of the 12 videos I recorded back in October. I hope you all enjoy!! :)
