Also worth noting that new 2WD HD Models have an upgraded front bulkhead
They HAVE to do a BL-2S Bandit at some point! Hopefully without battery and charger like the others. But man i need one so bad!
I've currently invested so much into my bandit that I can just about put all the old parts into a new car, I've got drag slash receiver, all red aluminum parts except for chassis yet, bl2s power system, integy transmission with a locker and a 3d printed aero kit. Can't wait to finish it up!
Traxxas has good trail trucks but if you want a rock crawler, you should go with an Axial SCX10 Pro or Vanquish VRD Carbon.

An “Ultimate Bandit” would be a cool release. The drag slash transmission. All of the HD upgrades. Brushless system. TSM. Lights. Throw the Traxxas upgrades parts bin at it!
It's still a Bandit underneath! Instead, how about a new 2wd basher buggy that doesn't have 25-year old technology! 🙄

My stock XL5 Rustler does 26 mph with the 7 cell NiMH, 24 mph with the 2S LiPo. But with 28t pinion, 76t spur the NiMH does 39 mph and 2S LiPo does 40. Checked with GNSS.
That motor/esc combo with the 2speed trx4 is awesome. With the 2 speed you get slow control and a little speed.

So I think why people are getting a bit upset is because they're looking at these like traxxas released this as a new rc.. when they're just updating old models.. I'm not sure why they didn't bl-2s this one but still upgraded it for the better.. I haven't looked but I'm guessing there's also a price bump.. so it's just up to the consumer if they wanna get the OG bandit or the updated version.. or if you have one.. get the hd kit or run it how it is.. 😎🤘🏽
I have that 2 n 1 esc/motor in my mini jrx2. It makes the car way more fun and wheelies all day

Nice I’d use a Hobbywing Fusion. It’s been 110 deg. In Bakersfield Ca. I’ve been working there for a month & returning home to Ventura Ca. which was 66 deg & foggy when I got back this weekend talk about a difference. 🥵😶🌫️

I think you should get into 10th scale buggy racing and use a bandit and see how they hold up to tekno. Cant compete with the champions team associated 😂

Only problem I have with bandits, is not wearing out rear tires
The VXL bandit was really bad about that. I literally burned through a set of tires in 1 run!
@@MarkSantaMariaI built one from scratch mostly RPM parts and put a Sidewinder SCT and 3800kV motor on 3s then use sticky stadium truck 2.2’s on it. It’s worn the clay tires to the point the internal reinforcements are showing through…….and are about ready to blow apart.

Everytime i see that traxxas supposedly upgraded to plastic from plastic makes me laugh .

To bad traxxas is way over priced these days I had a brand new traxxas srt in 1995 I really wish they had continued with making champion ship level winning models alongside Losi and Associated today they just like making cash of kids who are either new to the hobby or people who have no clue and yes I know they aren't the only ones doing it
