    AC/DC lost a good friend, but soldiered on with the greatest album in rock history, "Back In Black". Bon would have been proud of the success they achieved after working so hard for it.

    Actually holding a candlelight vigil tomorrow for Bon; it'll be 33 years since his death. He died long before I was born but he is my hero. An incredible mind, voice, and talent for lyrics. May his legend live on. Bon

    I met Stevie Wright back in the early 1990's at the Bull n Bush Hotel (Sydney) he was doing shots of Heroin in the carpark . Totally off his chops and sloppy as all fuck. That said, when he got on stage he ripped the place apart with his vocals.

    Stevie Wright - first day of what? Was he with AC/DC for awhile? l know lots hoped he would replace Bon Scott, but .........

    • @4stringmark
      @4stringmark 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Stevie was probably in the (original) running for lead singer but drug problems kept resurfacing. After Hard Road, he was put in the 'too hard' basket. They needed someone with that harder edge, sans probleme. Now some random trivia for you : Stevie's is actually my first cousin once removed. His Grandmother and my Grandfather were siblings.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +4stringmark Did you know him? As a teenager, l adored the EasyBeats, and felt so sad when l learnt that Stevie had become an addict. He was an amazing front man, had an amazing voice, brilliant entertainer, and would have been the perfect replacement for Bon. It was so meant to be - except for the one enormous obstacle of heroin. Such a tragedy. lt's amazing that he is still alive. He will always have a special place in my heart.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ACDCFan15Swe If anyone was a clone of anyone, Bon was a Stevie clone. l would prefer to say that Bon was a respecter of Stevie, as he was a pioneer of the Aust rock scene, and l believe he would have been wrapped to have Stevie replace him. Sadly, the reason it wasn't possible, was his tragic addiction to heroin.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** The way Brian presents in performances has been a very complimentary to Bon and ACDC, but has he contributed to the song writing like Bon did? l don't know, l just think their material lost something with' Bon's passing. Stevie did co write all the early Easybeat material. l know it is only a dream and not reality, but Stevie was a class act on stage. Have you seen the concert where he does all the Easybeat no's on his own in the '80s - brilliant.

      They most absolutely positively DiD! Don’t believe Brian had any such say in the matter at the time...but Lord knows he has gone over the Cliff (pun intended) and then some in all the ridiculous ‘stories’ he’s fabricated in his own and likely given words when talking about the making of that album in mere months....Please Brian just Stop...there’s no longer need for such blatant ghost stories as it were...be free of the baggage

      Also the back in black album, you can't tell me that rock and roll ain't noise pollution or what do you do for money honey aren't his lyrics. I mean brian the butcher obviously ruined the songs but if you listen to the actual lyrics it sounds so much more like a bon scott song then any other songs on the album. Its a shame because it sounds like the song would've been great, if only he could've sung it.

      Alcohol will kill you faster than drugs. Anyday Alcoholics serious Without alcohol, Sever alcoholics can easily die. How do they die because they didn't have alcohol. Heroin is usually from overdose , Meth sometimes it happens with over emotional people who are needy for company and over talkative , Who become busy bodies without learning 3 basic fundamentals: Eat brush teeth and sleep... Its not easy but VERY necessary Usually destined to die they hate life because thier ugly no matter what Typical Left wondering why no one invites or welcomes disgrace on their face
